Pros

It can be fun in the beginning, great office space, free and good lunch, great minds at work trying to solve some complex problems in the Energy industry

Cons

Micro-management, nepotism, favoritism, are a few of the negative things that make this place frustrating to work at. Upper management is too disconnected from the ground level and strategies often are illogical and not attained due to lack of clear vision and proper chain of command to execute that vision. CEO paints a good picture in town hall meetings, but nothings happens after that. Zilch. Nada. Zero.

No integrity at all

Pros

- Good cause; helping energy companies better preserve energy and switch to greener solutions. - Most of the employees are fun to work with

Cons

- Company has no integrity, will do everything to cut bonuses or not pay at all even though the employees work really hard. The fact that the company is doing so bad is all management and has nothing to do with the talent of the employees. -No integrity towards clients either; building bad quality of code, a house of cards; lying to their clients about it all - CEO hires his very unskilled and unprofessional friends who get to run the company into the ground - See previous point: some of the managers are really not skilled at all, and throw others under the bus to hide their blatant incompetence, while other managers make excuses for them because they know if they would critique them they would be kicked out of the company. - Letting go of talented people left and right; speak up for the quality of the software (that lacks quality due to the unskilled buddies of CEO): and you're out - Rumors of the CEO not being interested in keeping the company afloat anymore - People that are still working there are looking for an out - A bunch of people at the company predict the company is going to collapse; top management behavior and bad quality of code is going to blow up in their faces.

Favoritism and low morale

Business Outlook

Pros

Cutting edge projects in the clean tech space.

Cons

No emphasis on employee satisfaction. Management couldn't care less about the morale. Those who are favorites of the CEO do well but others who may be talented and capable are left to the wayside. People are hired and fired willy nilly. No real team building strategy. Breeds resentment, and creates disincentive for performing well.
