    Advice to Management

All managers should remember that sales associates take care of our customers, so we should take care of them and the rest will take care of itself. Corporate-keep doing your social outreach and gifts for associates. The small tokens of gratitude are greatly appreciated.

    Pros

The process is good. If you use the greet script, phone script and menu script verbatim you will sell cars. Their training staff for Sales Ignition in Clearwater is second to none. Lead by Eric Szemple this 2 WEEK training class was far from boring and provided a strong foundation for both the green and the rusty car salesperson.

    Cons

Switching from pay plan to pay plan EVERY month gets old. Especially when you are handed a pay plan, you sign it and use it create you monthly goals only to find out it not the right pay plan. And then it's impossible to get a copy of the correct pay plan, but when you do get a copy you've already switched (forcedly) to another pay plan.
My biggest complaint and I've taken this issue to the highest levels of HR and the benefits depts is a monthly deduction from my bi-monthly check called "other". It was a deduction in the amount of $26.07 and commenced on the first week I had insurance deducted from my check. I was told that it has something to do with my insurance premiums, but I was still charged it on my last check even though my benefits had been cancelled for almost two weeks. I 100% authorized AutoNation to deduct my monthly health and dental premiums from my paycheck, but I never authorized the to deduct "other" from my check pay period after pay period. My local HR Dept referred me to the AN Benefits 800# who referred me back to my local HR Dept who referred me back to...well you get it. They keep blaming each other and I'm just out $26.07 multiplied by however many paychecks there were. I think I need to take this issue up with the Federal Labor Board to get a resolution. I even told my local HR my intention and NO mediation was attempted by anyone at AutoNation after I mentioned my intention.

    Advice to Management

Stop hustling junk... if you decide to sell under-shopped cars that have many issues just to make the stores number increase in both units and front/back GP. Then be prepared for the online backlash by the community you sold junk cars to. The 20 new cars the store sells aren't enough to float you through the hard times when your reputation takes a nose dive. It will happen...

    Pros

Fast paced work environment. You stay busy. Potential to earn high income. Multiple locations in case you like to transfer.

    Cons

High employee turnover due to no humanity in management. Inconsistent message from corporate office. Too many processes which can get in the way of normal business. Upper management doesn't care about the individual working. They only care what you produce for them.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

None that I can think of.

    Cons

If you are willing to bend over and let the management treat you like crap then you'll be their favorite. If you're hourly then you've got it made. But once you go flag(commission) you won't make any money. It's obvious who is the managements favorites. Really is not a good dealership to work at. The service advisors can't make upsells because they don't know how to talk to the customers due to lack of shop experience.

    Advice to Management

Learn how to treat your employees. If you want respect then show respect. We are all just here for a paycheck, not to be your buddy.
