I have been working at AutoZone part-time

    Pros

Friendly enviroment, work around schedules, provides continuous training, incentives to meet goals

    Cons

Can be busy and must have thick skin. You will have to deal with angry or rude customers every now and then.

    Advice to Management

Allow incentives to be used as in store purchases, not special "AutoZone" merchandise (shirt, coffee cup, etc). Let me use it on what I need like tools...

    Pros

High Energy atmosphere, great Helping people.

    Cons

The schedule varies every week , Many times a week I close and leave by 10:15 then back up there the next morning to open at 7:15, So Im home by 11pm shower, eat, try to speed to sleep then have to be back awake by 6am. So I might get 5 hours of sleep if lucky. Not enough employees to get everything done and make the store look good. High Stress at times when Only two employees on the clock trying to answer the phone constantly while helping 6 to 10 walk in customers at once, and while changing out batteries, reading codes, Installing wipers, etc. The store has a bad reputation for customer service. Which I am trying to fix.

    Advice to Management

Make schedules more standardized. Give employees a couple of days per week off in a row so they can have a life, and have at least 4 employees on the schedule during the 9am to 7pm times. especially around the 1st. and 15th. When a large amount of customers get paid. Those weekends are slammed.
