I have been working at AutoZone full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Small discount on cheap parts.

    Cons

They'll let anyone into management; that being said management is terrible. Customers can be horribly rude and most the time don't know what they drive. Most of the newer staff members tend to be lazy and know nothing about cars. Weather means nothing to management, so be prepared to install a battery in rain/storms.

    Advice to Management

Stop putting useless managers into high volume stores. Stop hiring creep managers that make the female employees squirm. Stop allowing store managers to leave early almost everyday and get paid that cushy salary while they leave.

    Pros

The only good thing about working there, is that they paid you. And I was able to meet some amazing people

    Cons

The bosses have no sympathy for you your home life. The raises are only given once a year and they are very small.

    Advice to Management

    Be nicer to your employees

    Pros

None. There are absolutely no pros to working here. It's horrible, it sucks, I hated it. AutoZone sucks. Don't work there.

    Cons

Everything. It really really really freakin sucks working at AutoZone. It's horrible, it sucks, I hated it. Don't work there.

    Advice to Management

I have no advice for management. I don't care about the management, just like management didn't give two craps about me. AutoZone management is horrible.

I have been working at AutoZone full-time

    Pros

Good discount on parts. Regular paydays.

    Cons

If you get a Red shirt you aren't going anywhere. Red shirts rarely get promoted to Grey unless you are of the correct ethnic background. I have not seen a minority get the Grey from start, but lots of whites with no experience start Grey!

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the self imposed classifications and make everybody equal. Red means slave and Grey means master. This is the twentieth century guys not the stone age!

I worked at AutoZone full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The pay was decent. Good benefits and flexible time off. Different shift options.

    Cons

Too many power struggles between the staff and the immediate management staff. Very unprofessional tons to the point of being racist or biased towards people of color. No room for growth for certain people no matter what they knew or did for advancement.

    I worked at AutoZone full-time

    Pros

Great people to work with. Good pay.

    Cons

Quota was down due to ex husband abusing our children. I'm not in that situation no more it was 10 1/2 yrs ago & they wouldn't give me a 2nd chance. I even went back as a temp & gave them a solid 6 1/2 months of steady hard work then they let me go when they seen I worked 10 1/2 yrs ago

    Advice to Management

Give people 2nd chances specially when they have proved to you they are in a better situation now.
