I worked at Autoliv full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Very good benefits, solid development opportunities.

    Cons

Absolutely no work-life balance unless you are in a corporate position. Very dissappointing to see executive-level employees portraying the most unethical behaviors with regards to treating people fairly and with respect. Not a very friendly environment for women.

    Advice to Management

Some functions are overworked due to manual processing (kanban cards for managing production orders, manual processing for production planning, some departmental KPIs, project management, etc).

    I worked at Autoliv full-time

    Pros

    Good facilities
    Constant growth
    Friendly, relaxed and inclusive atmosphere
    Politically correct
    Not pushy on doing overtime
    Good benefits

    Cons

Too much talk, too many procedures, too bureaucratic
    A lot of corporate BS
Scheduling meetings for discussing the setting-up of other meetings
Boring and uninteresting work, too dependent on what the headquarters (that are abroad) want from you. Your job title might say one thing, but you should be open towards doing whatever (no matter how different to what you were expecting) is asked from you.
Long and useless training courses and seminars
    Too rigid
    Creativity isn't very appreciated
If you are an obedient, 'yes, sir' kind of man, there are ways for you to go up the corporate 'ladder'

    Advice to Management

    Teach your staff useful things
Be honest in regard to what is expected from them
Listen to your staff... they are more than just expendable resources... they are human beings. Try to understand their strengths and weaknesses.
Use you staff in the optimum way, allow them to do the things they are good at and which they enjoy doing.
    Be flexible and direct
