I have been working at Autoliv full-time for more than 20 years

    Pros

Will hire anyone. You don’t have to work hard. Mediocre work is exceptional work at Autoliv. You won’t ever get fired for anything unless you are on drugs.

    Cons

Will hire anyone. Does not care about experience or its longtime employees. Low wages. Ineffective management. No pension. No room for advancement.

    Advice to Management

Hiring anyone without any experience provides environment of constant training and turnover. Relevant experience should equal a degree in the business/planning unit. Talented people are always overlooked. Like most corporations subservient people thrive here.

I have been working at Autoliv full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Decent pay, flexible shift choices.

    Cons

Will work you to death. Mandatory overtime that management abuses, forcing employees to work 6-7 days a week, for weeks on end. Working 28 days straight is a normal thing here, and you'll be threatened with discipline if you refuse to work it. They don't consider you a human, they consider you a resource, and they will squeeze you for everything they can until it kills you. Expect your social life, hobbies, health,...

    Advice to Management

Stop working your employees to death, they aren't machines and can't work weeks on end without a break. Either hire overtime employees or stop promising shipments you clearly can't meet.

I worked at Autoliv full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Interesting problems to solve for the automotive field. Cutting edge technologies. The products are in high demand moving forward.

    Cons

Managerial incompetence and cronyism at nearly every level. Jumping from one crisis to the next putting out fires because of poor planning by managers.

    Advice to Management

Get program schedules under control so you can stop abusing employees.

I worked at Autoliv full-time for more than 20 years

    Pros

Vacation and paid holidays are good. A shutdown during July and December are great.

    Cons

I worked there for 14.5 years and the environment there was horrid. AMT's running around creating drama. Talking smack about the operators while yelling at them, literally, to hurry up. The fundamentals of the APS House are great and when they are actually applied improvements are made. However, there are some in management "I don't care"....If management doesn't care, why would operators care? Module feels like it's...

    Advice to Management

Stop being managment and start being leadership. You hear the gossip, you know who is creating drama and you know who is bullying others. Man up and put a stop to it.

I have been working at Autoliv full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Great place to get experience Laid back work environment Wide range of benefits (401k, Medical, Tuition Reimbursement)

    Cons

Merit raises don't even meet inflation Very little chance of advancement Lower than average pay rate

    Advice to Management

You say you can't afford more than 2-3% merit raises and have 30-40+ people per lower level manager with no supervisors between yet complain when projects can't be completed with full oversight.
