I worked at Autoliv full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

Top focus is Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale. Benefits, decent pay, gym, you can listen to music in some areas, Jidoka drawings (with catered food), free turkeys for Thanksgiving, quarterly meetings so all employees understand where we've been, where we are, and where we're going, and opportunities to move up in management if you pay attention to the job opening board. Cons

12 hour days, high turnover rate, on your feet the whole time, get a lot of young kids not willing to work, the training process is improving, not enough recognition for temps especially when hired-on employees get gain shares and gifts for Christmas. Attitude has a lot to do with how you feel about your job when working long hours. Commute if you don't live in town.

    Advice to Management

Keep working with the employees on the floor. Bump up pay a bit. Communication is so important and heard. People like to understand what is required of them to succeed.

I have been working at Autoliv

    Pros

Interesting work, good people but some departments have little room for growth. Watch out for groups that report directly to European managers as it tends to create a difficult situation with employee trying to serve many needs with little support.

    Cons

Can be very stressful with long hours and many demands. Fluctuations in economy can cause significant impact but this is true for any automotive manufacturer.
