    Pros

Company expects a lot of you, but they compensate you accordingly. It's tough work, but very rewarding.

    Cons

Working outdoor events in the heat. Summer's in the east coast can be pretty brutal.

I worked at Automotive Marketing Consultants Inc full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great building, hands on experience with world sports car brand, 10 days paid vacation and 5 days PTO. 9 holidays throughout the year,

    Cons

Salary did not change even though we met on 110% our financial goals. Very scarce opportunities for growing in the company. Did not seemed to appreciate the job done by employees. Management was missing a lot of the times.

    Advice to Management

Employees stay with companies that pay well, appreciate them, challenge them and promote/rewards them. Management can make or break a team. In my case working for the company there was no such thing as a team, it was everyone on its own.

    Pros

    Free coffee, that's about all.

    Cons

Unstable employment. Too many friends helping friends get in, that don't know what they are doing. Very clique-y.

    "Lower Management Unprofessional"

    Pros

Much experience has been gained to move on to bigger and better things.

    Cons

As someone wrote in another review, there is some bullying being allowed in lower management. From what I have observed, there are some issues with lower management, usually less attractive women, or those who lack confidence and want to take credit for the work, but instead slack, and attack others who indeed are doing their job.

    Advice to Management

Upper management should step up to the plate and not allow a hostile working environment.

I worked at Automotive Marketing Consultants Inc full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There are many great people, there can be relatively consistent work, there are some great producers, office snacks, nice office environment.

    Cons

Leadership fails to identify the actual reasons why business leaves. Not collaborative, workers in the field get the short end of the stick, lack of transparency, poor training. Lots of slackers on staff. Not enough sharing of information to reduce cost and create consistency. Internally competitive.

    Advice to Management

Adapt a more inclusive, collaborative approach. Stop over promising and stressing the front line to meet client demands. Implement accountability. Vet your work force in the hiring process.

I have been working at Automotive Marketing Consultants Inc full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good work hours: one of the few places that is a honest 9 to 5. Lots of tools and car equipment if you want to work on your car after work. Easy going and laid back as far as corporate goes. Snacks and free soda.

    Cons

Incredible amount of incompetency! 30% of the staff came from a failed event company and they are all failures themselves. Very uneducated people in position of authority and decision making. Some level of workplace bullying. Lack of a HR. No on-boarding whatsoever. Minimum IT support. Feels like you are working on a boys club in the 50's: all about personal relationships (even at the client level) and no sign of meritocracy.

Also, they do not believe that Digital is a real capability:, the digital dept. went from 12 people to 4 and now just one person.

    Advice to Management

Hire a external consulting company and do a company wide purge. There are so many people at AMCI that do absolutely nothing. 2 people doing the same job and a lot that do some work, but just the minimum required because they are all over 50 years old on a "rest and vest" mentality. Listen to your new hires opinions and tips, they have a lot to add, look at your mistakes lost clients) and learn from it instead of shrugging it off like it never happened.

Mainly: stop treating your employees like carnival workers, good people want careers mediocre people are ok with just having a job.

Great Daily rate and W-2 not 1099 employee

    Cons

    Advice to Management

    better communication

    Pros

Supportive, fun group with team spirit galore! They're the leader in automotive marketing and it shows. They know their stuff and expect that you will too. Great opportunities for advancement. It's a place you can call home.

    Cons

One of the things that made AMCI #1 is their work ethic, which means long hours, weekends and acts of heroism. If you thrive in this kind of environment, you will be richly rewarded. Clock watchers need not apply.

    Advice to Management

Even though a lean staff helps keep profits high, a larger crew would reduce wear and tear on your people and their loved ones.
