I worked at Autumn Care (Less than a year)

    Pros

Shifts went by fast, lots to keep you busy. Residents were awesome. Management has changed hands since I left.

    Cons

Too many employees would call out, I worked many double shifts.

I worked at Autumn Care full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Care about the residents, good pay

    Cons

Upper mgmt only concerned with the bottom line, not as much as they should be with staff and their happiness. Since being bought out by Saber Corp, benefits and morale decreased.

    Pros

    They paid a good wage.

    Cons

Place smelled terrible and there were lots of bugs. Management has no concept of organization and efficiency. To much time is spent trying to get out of work rather than taking care of residents. How they are allowed to operate boggles the mind. Don't be fooled, they will take advantage of you and your abilities. Please save yourself the trouble.

    Advice to Management

Find qualified leaders who can lead by example and simply hide out in offices. Make resident care your priority, then the money will come. Live up to your own mission statement.

    Pros

The pay is decent for a new Nurse graduate.

    Cons

Staffing is one of the many issues but the main one.

    Advice to Management

Take time out to listen to your employees, respond to their concerns and attempt to address the issue.
