    Pros

People call in sick there too much. Who runs the Human Resources does not how to type a rejecting paper. Only copy and paste the letters just changing the name of the person sin who is trying to apply. They made people to go to a job interview to made peole wait for over two hours and they never show up. Some calls get directed to an vacant office where not body checkout the phone calls.
    Bad business relations.

    Cons

    Nothing good from that place.

    Advice to Management

    The new manager is terrible.

    Pros

    Great patients and good colleagues

    Cons

When I was there management was inconsistent and did not always adhere to best practice guidelines. However, I understand changes have been made and things are running better...just what I heard.

    Advice to Management

Support your employees. Treat your patients like they were your family.

    Pros

The Administrator gave me freedom in the hours I worked as long as my job was done. I was able to work a flexible schedule that worked around my kids and home life so I could be available to my family for the important events. Excellent work life balance and job satisfaction.
The company gave a bonus to ALL employees for good survey results.

    Cons

The position was not challenging. No 401K match.

    Pros

This is one of the best jobs that I have had. Everyone worked as a team and the facility was clean and gave very good care to their residents.

    Cons

I don't have any cons about this job.

    Advice to Management

Management was very open and easy to talk to.

I worked at Avalon Health Care full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Only the overtime pay was good.

    Cons

They payroll hired some one from her family to the hiring process. Former employees are getting the same letter saying "we looked your application but does not match with the requirements skills"
They can get a lawsuit if they continuing lying with the rejections letters. They are hiring new graduates and rejecting older CNAs.

    Advice to Management

Dom't try to work there if you are older or your are not friend of the Human resources. They are hiring younger CNAs. The Union is only there to collect their Unions feeds.

I worked at Avalon Health Care full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nothing really too positive to say about this company. They don't care about anyone but the money. Family business where they micro manage horribly and should have plenty of lawsuits with how much they get away with

    Cons

Family runs the show, no input accepted, their way or no way, treat you like garbage, not a long term employment opportunity, mostly all executive leadership sucks

    Advice to Management

Get some real leaders, family shouldn't run departments they have no clue on how to run. Let the people you hire work

    Pros

Nice and honest co-workers residents are great.

    Cons

I was given another employees time card info to clock in on my first day working at this facility. Myself along with other nursing staff were not paid for the hours we worked. They don't have an HR department. Management is new and are still in training, there is no oversight while this transition is taking place. The majority of the staff warned me on my first day to stay away from Avalon facilities. Retirement benefits are matched 1%. Holiday pay is double time, but they take time out of PTO if you work holidays. Couldn't get a clear time frame of when differential pay begins during the night shift.

    Advice to Management

Pay your staff and don't allow new staff to start working until they have their own employee ID. Train your management properly.

    Pros

Zero. I have to write 20 words here, but I can't think of anything positive to say.

    Cons

Only concerned with the bottom line. Chronically understaffed. Very much like a third world country.

    Advice to Management

Better staffing, be concerned about the residents and not just the $$$$.

    Pros

There is not really anything positive to say about this company as a whole. If there were one thing, I would say getting to know the residents was fun.

    Cons

Uncaring administration, so much gossip, and uncaring/abusive CNAs

    Advice to Management

Change the entire approach. People are not dollar signs they have needs.
