    Pros

Great location, nice offices. Laid back environment

    Cons

No help from management, weak role... Nobody shares ideas. The place is never even a third full. They need more people to make it feel like a place you want to come to work. You think you have a good percentage split until you ask around.

    "Not a real job"

    Pros

    You are your own boss.

    Cons

After a year, I realized that if you don't get paid a salary or bonus it's not really a job. Company deceptively starts you at very low amount of capital and extremely tight stops which make it very difficult to generate consistent money. Even if you do, you get hit with a surprisingly large amount of fees that are not fully disclosed upfront.

    Advice to Management

Business model is flawed for people "working" there. Company gets trading profits and then shuts you down if you put their capital at risk. Prop trading sounds great on paper, but because firms like this use such high leverage, they can only allow the traders to take extremely small losses before closing out positions. Makes it a day trading shop where probability of success is very low. Unfortunately for me and others it holds the allure of a real job, but the best thing to do is to quit and stop wasting your time and focus on finding a real job.
