I worked at Avaya full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Work is challenging, which means you are constantly learning and growing skills.

    Cons

The metrics are such that only an employee with superpowers can maintain a decent rating. Almost no one can exceed expectations.

    Advice to Management

Get real. Employees need to feel they are accomplished. You can only hold the carrot out on a stick so long before they look up and see who's holding the stick.

I have been working at Avaya full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Avaya has some of the best solutions in the marketplace. The customers are loyal. And the pay is very good. Work/Life balance is extremely important to management and there is a lot of importance placed on the employees taking time to decompress and recharge.

    Cons

The Avaya landscape can be hard to navigate and can be frustrating. While many of the benefits lack, it is compensated for with teleworker work life balance and excellent compensation.

    Advice to Management

Invest in sales tools, not presentations.

    Pros

Avaya does pay pretty well and there is a culture of respect and valuing self-starters.
