    Pros

It is a global company, so it is a great place to learn. It also has a nice work environment and people feel empowered.

    Cons

Recently it has had a lot of changes in its structure, people fear they might lose their jobs, however this transition phase is supposedly complete.

    Pros

Mostly Friendly people. Maternity-Paternity Leave implemented Q2 2016. If you work in Mentor HQ you get flexible hours in summer.

    Cons

For Accounting-Finance most jobs are being outsourced to India since 2014 so no where to grow. It's called "lean".

I worked at Avery Dennison full-time

    Pros

    - The people and teammates are the best and smartest in the industry - collaborative and supportive.
    - Amazing learning experience; lots of responsibility, challenging and fun (if you have the right team)
    - Immediate managers are supportive and great mentors
    - Made significant investments in employee training
    - Excellent benefits

    Cons

    - Cult-like over-zealous monthly calls with upper management about how the company is wonderful and perfect - fails to address common issues
    - Incompetent people are rewarded and allowed to mistreat and even fire competent people even though everyone in the company recognizes that person's incompetence
    - Pay is lower than industry standard
    - Work life balance - typical to work 70-80 hours/week
    - More red tape than government
    - HR is a pawn of senior management

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and address their common concerns - your cult-like way of pretending everything is perfect is contributing to high turnover and poor morale. Help to fix the issues and foster an environment where employees aren't afraid to voice their concerns!

I have been working at Avery Dennison full-time

    Pros

Fast paced, entrepreneurial environment. The amount of success and career growth you achieve is up to you. Strong support for diversity, sustainability, and innovation. Flexible work schedules. Global collaboration. A push to explore different positions & opportunities within the company. Great compensation. Ability to develop expertise in as many areas as your curiosity will take you. Nobody will tell you no. If you have an idea or passion, go for it!

    Cons

Too many meetings. Corporate environment. Feeling of hierarchy. Many systems which complicates on-boarding and makes daily work a bit more cumbersome. Difficulty in taking vacation from a standpoint of always being "connected". Too much job transition and seemingly high turnover, even within the leadership. As expertise is developed, roles are changed and knowledge is lost.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. When considering organizational changes, if it isn't broke, don't fix it. Passion and enthusiasm go farther to our success than specific experience or degrees alone.

    Cons

Too many processes, difficult to get tasks completed, management not truly invested in employees - too much politics and favoritism.

    Advice to Management

    Invest in training for hiring.

    Pros

Very independent work environment with great perks for those in high travel roles. If you are able to excel within one of the major departments, they will value you as an employee.

    Cons

Lots of frequent changes with in the organization limited the ability to gain consistent experience in one area. This constant change did welcome opportunities for those with little experience a chance to take on impactful tasks.

    Advice to Management

Sometimes change is necessary but it only becomes effective when all of the affected parties adapt to align with those changes.

A nimble company for such a large organization. Some very talented people with innovative ideas and products currently keeping their competition busy. Excellent employee healthcare and retirement benefits.

    Cons

Make sure you like what you do because the work life balance for any of the field reps can be challenging.

    Advice to Management

Keep investing in new products and processes to stay ahead of the competition. Hire more field reps, both technical and in sales to better balance the responsibilities for current employees and to better cover their respective territories.
