    I worked at Avianca full-time

    Pros

Great camaraderie, best airline in Latin America, expansion plans and growth. It has a great focus on corporate clients and therefore offers a better service than the industry standard at least in Colombia,.

    Cons

Too much hierarchy and bureocracy. This makes decision making take a long time geopardizing great opportunities due to lack of ability for an on-time response.

    Advice to Management

Motivate employees to stay . Think more long-term, not so much short-term. Optimize, rather than duplicate tasks. Reduce favoritism.

    Cons

Corporate still figuring out how to manage the company merge with TACA and power battles are every where in the Organization.

    Advice to Management

Stop thinking as a local or national (south american) company and start believing in preparing leadership for Multinational challenges.

    I worked at Avianca part-time

    Pros

    Tickets at low cost sometimes

    Cons

Since avianca merge with Taca it became in a non customer service company!!!. His current Manager has lead this airline to its lowest point. He treat his employees as trash; no benefits, not time to go and take a break, not even the 15 mandatory minutes per ever 6 hours worked!. His push you to go and work on your days off and if you don't do it you will regret it sooner or later!!!. It is sad that a clean and honest company as avianca was 10 years ago, it is now a decadent an cheap company!!.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the Miami manager!!!
