    Pros

    If you like high growth companies where you get the opportunity to really help build a business AvidXchange is perfect for you. Your ability contribute and make a difference, no matter your level, is fantastic. You are not a cog in the wheel here. And diversity across the company is great. As a working mom, I have never been made to feel as if I have to choose between my job or my kids.

    Cons

    The food choices around the campus could be better, but the morning coffee bar is run by a local Charlotte place and it's FANTASTIC.

    Advice to Management

    I have found the management team to be fantastic. Engaging, open to feedback and actually really nice people across the board. Doubling the size of your company in just a few years can be tough though for the most well-oiled business and management should keep an eye out on the processes and resources they're putting in place to support that.

      Pros

      Facilities are nice, however you are isolated from the greater downtown amenities. Excellent passionate co-workers, the skilled in-house recruiters did an excellent job assembling talent. No drug testing.

      Cons

      6 Managers in 1 year. Reorg after Reorg with laughably frequent executive and director level churn. They are growing fast in the director suite and in support staff to paper over issues but are unable to hire talent to actually execute work.       Advice to Management

      Reorg yet again but with a competent silicon-valley-esq CTO brave enough to assess the software stack honestly, which is requiring a complete ground-up API-first rewrite without sentimentality and flatten your middle management buffer, otherwise you are rapidly growing on a foundation of sand and technical rot.

      Poorly managed (lack direction at top level, lack authority at lower level) Competing priorities from c-level and down keep work regularly in flux Behind market in benefits and compensation High Turnover Poor learning/development/training offerings

      Advice to Management

      Avid is a great place to work, but doesn't compete with other companies in the market in terms of compensation and benefits (though they are actively improving this each year). More importantly, though, there's a lot of churn and spin at the company because senior leadership fails to adequately plan for company initiatives. People leaders (direct reports) lack the empowerment or authority to keep their employees happy.

      Great teammates, nice facility, better clarity recently on the future direction of the business.

      Chaotic priorities, process lacking or misapplied across the board, inability to focus as an organization, people given heavy responsibility without decision making authority.

      Advice to Management

      Analyze, prioritize, decide, and align. Say no to really good things. You don't have to pick the perfect opportunity -- you need to win at the ones you do pick.

      - Great community amongst employees - Leadership is sincere and in it to make things better - Fast paced - Tons of opportunity - Tons of growth in the company - Decent benefits, recently reworked 401k, and health coverage - Your effort here will make a difference - Avid is working to recognize people on a regular basis.

      There are great people who work at Avid, but the accelerated growth will make it frustrating to work here. Things will get crazier until they get better. Most of the problems with AvidXchange lie with the quick fix mentality. Many fires are met with quick fixes that help in the short term, but create huge cascading issues long term.       Advice to Management

      - Don't duck tape issues and paint over them. Genuinely put effort into working solutions long term. Avid needs to innovate and move past maintaining what is already set. This has been the status quo for a while. Don't be afraid to shake this up even more than what is already being done.       Not much opportunity to move to higher tier positions without a degree.

      Advice to Management

      I cant speak for the company outside of the Salt Lake City, UT location but as far as management goes I cant think of anything that management needs to work on. Just keep doing what you're doing.

      Pros

      The facility has a gym, games, onsite nurses, and different food trucks everyday. The company is growing at such a fast rate that allows for the opportunity to move into new roles.

      Cons

      For those who like structure, the company is growing so fast that role responsibilities can change from quarter to quarter. Change requests often get pushed back which can make it hard for teams who have to grind through manual processes which could be automated.

      Advice to Management

      Keep being transparent! Management is awesome.
