I worked at Avis Budget Group full-time

    Pros

None. I would say a lot more. But I don't have anything else to say. My mom told me if you don't have something good to say, don't say anything at all.

    Cons

hours not flexible. pay is not the greatest. Management does not seem to have a grasp on how to treat employees. A very negative working environment.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees like you do your cars and your business will expand exponentially. Remember, your employees are your number one customer.

    Pros

Great people, interesting industry, no micro management unless not performing. If you can run your own business its great. Good money for reps but not a lot of growth unless you will move. Autonomy. Run territory like your own business.

    Cons

Lots of last minute reports that interrupt your plan for the day. Too many reports overall that could be made into one or two. Requests from leaders required immediate attention with no time to do them.

    Advice to Management

Less screen time, more field time. Free the reps to sell and not do reports all day. Stop changing expectations every time there is a meeting. Be consistent instead of recreating a report every time that requires 20 other reports so you can fill in manually.

  6. "Assistant Manager"

    Pros

Helping people choose the best suited vehicle for their needs whether they are traveling far or something suitable for around the city as a replacement car while their vehicle is being repaired.

    Cons

There are some people who carry a bad attitude every waking moment of their life and they decide to share that negative energy with everyone they come in contact with.

    Advice to Management

    Pay employees their worth

    Pros

My coworkers were nice. Training was easy.

    Cons

The customers are ok but working at the airport you get some real hot heads.

    Advice to Management

Needs better communication throughout the company.

    Pros

Good atmosphere. Pay based on performance. Proven training program. Room to move up. Promotion from within. Challenging but rewarding career. Benefits package is a plus.

    Cons

Down time. Night shifts. Overnight shifts. No holidays off. Local renters are a pain. Management is a little unorganized at times. But- overall the pros outweigh the cons.

    Advice to Management

Keep business flowing with more energetic employees. Continue to build on the success of the company!

I have been working at Avis Budget Group part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Avis Budget is a good company to work for, they treat employees with respect. Are always having employee appreciation meals. Make you feel like you mean something to them, not just another number. Get to drive cars like the Camaro SS and trucks like the Ford F-150! And even the BMW 528i!

    Cons

None really, other than busy Houston traffic and long hours driving.

    Advice to Management

Seem to be doing a good job, keep it up!

  11. "Managers have not say at the operations"

I worked at Avis Budget Group part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The only pro is that they pay ok compared to other companies

    Cons

Managers don't manage. Enough said., people who have seniority take advantage of new people, it's hot they don't provide water. The whole system of operations is to benefit only the people with seniority.

    Advice to Management

Many people quit or find other jobs because the people who have been there many years expect you to do everything and they take advantage of you. And managers don't do anything about it.
