I have been working at Avis Budget Group full-time

    Pros

I used to work for Avis Budget Group and had to resign due to personal reasons. I reapplied and they accepted me back. I hope to now retire form Avis Budget Group!! I have worked for Enterprise and interviewed with other competitors but, Avis is the best!! The culture and the family are like family! I know that Avis Budget Group will become #1 and I'm glad to be apart and I want to help Avis Budget Group get there!!!

    Cons

I have no Cons to mention at this time.

I worked at Avis Budget Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

As a rental sales agent, you will be compensated if you sell. It is a mandatory part of the job and it will be stressed. They are self-insured so it makes sense that they want you to sell their insurance. Also, more expensive cars just sitting there are losing them money so they really need you to upsell, but that being said the make it worth your wild to do so.

    Cons

Can be hectic!! Cars break down, get in wrecks and whole models types can get put on recall. You have to be able to calmly take care of customers that might have been let down. It can suck but the company will do whatever it can try to make that not happen. That being said, customers can get very upset, and rightly so. The ability to handle such situations can be very difficult.

    Advice to Management

Remember to reward the operation's supports staff. Motive them with monetary rewards to kick butt during thin times. I felt like they were sometimes not properly appreciated.

I have been working at Avis Budget Group full-time

    Pros

Get to meet ppl from all over the world

    Cons

Unfortunately they rather hire some Yankee doodle from a random comany to be manager, then to hire there deticated hard working employees to promote as managers. Can't move up in the company at all. There is so much gossip from the managers, bickering and argumein between every one. They pay is unfair and the employeesecond are so over worked that they ate physicaly getting sick. Managers are stressed put and fustrated. We need more staffing and more fleet.

    Advice to Management

Stop over working your employees and appreciate them and maybe they would stick around. Create some kind of program to help us grow in the company.
