I just don't understand
Oct 24, 2015 - Operations Manager in Fort Lauderdale, FLRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The free car and Flexible schedule for management. It can definitely be a fun environment.
Cons
The company is set in the Stone Age and has no plans to advance to improve the customer experience instead they spend millions on projects that will ultimately frustrate customers and make the employees jobs more hectic and unmanageable. Certain Union locations run like a zoo because of contractual agreements that severely impact the customer in a terrible way. The job is incredibly physically and emotionally draining on your work and home life whether you have balance or not. One minute you'll be getting yelled at by a customer the next you'll be cleaning a car for a customer who's been waiting 1hr for their reservation. you only get promoted based on politics. They choose you and make you. It doesn't matter how hard you work.

Big Corporate Job with Big Corporate Problems and Benefits
Aug 16, 2017 - Rental Sales AssociateRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
It's a stable job with plenty of hours, reasonable pay and benefits. There are opportunities to move up but they are not as appealing as that seem at first.
Cons
All scheduling is done by seniority thus making a balance of work and home life hard to accomplish until you've been around a few years. The structure of commissions means that the counter employees with seniority will almost always take the shifts with the best opportunities to earn more money and you may get stuck on graveyard shift for a year or more.

Pros
None at this time...used to be a great company
Cons
There is no support for AO's. The contract states that Avis Budget will provide the equipment to do the job...guess what gang? In this business, equipment means cars and trucks! It's not brain surgery...you take almost 3% in commission pay away from our commission, ask us to acquire MORE new accounts, but can't properly provide adequate fleet to take care if existing customers. It's ALL a game for Wall Street. I have to wonder who's bonus is going to be padded as a result if taking $1500.00 + a month from my operation. There's a lot if empty promises and NO work/life balance.
