I have been working at Avon Products as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

    Discounts on AVON products
Run your business anyway you wish
    Online eCommerce website for free
Potential to earn extra cash if you live in a large city

    Cons

Dependent on your location and population of the area
Books are expensive and you must buy every 2 weeks
If you don't go door to door with books you don't make customers
People just are not interested in AVON anymore this day in age
Representatives pay shipping on every one of their orders no matter what size
Unless you have SEO or online marketing experience and a LOT of free time, you will not make money selling AVON
In order to get any incentives you must have a downline

    Advice to Management

Give reps free shipping and books.

I have been working at Avon Products as a contractor

    Pros

Great products. Their legacy as a beauty company. Everyone knows Avon. They are still producing great products and keeping up with the current trends and markets.

    Cons

Bought out by a VC company which means they are struggling. The higher level reps seem to be following in the path of another, more predatory beauty MLM. No, I'm not placing a $450.00 order for 50 dollars worth of product (yes, that's what this "mentor" said to me).
Shipping is free if you place a 500 dollar order.
This model wont be profitable unless 100% of your sales come from online and you build a team. Dont buy the brochures. They will eat into your sales. Everything is going online, brochures included!!

    Advice to Management

Please dont chew up and spit out this company like most VC companies eventually wind up doing
