I have been working at Axalta full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Autonomous
    work from home
    everyday is different

    Cons

    Set unreasonable sales goals
Can not see where you are to goals until well after the end of the month
Feeling as if they can make the number what ever they want so as to not pay out incentive.
Company has cut back on 401K contribution and does not contribute on incentive portion of pay. Base salary below industry average.

    Advice to Management

There is an obvious disconnect between upper management and the field. Transparency issues lead to low morale. Direction of company is clouded. Career paths are non-existent.

I have been working at Axalta full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There are a lot of great people to work with.
They hold a good portion of business in the OEM & Refinish.
Benefits & pay are very good.

    Cons

Executive level decisions to grow the business are being made at the expense of current business.
Current account teams are expected to do more work with less resources & customers are complaining.
New technologies aren't being developed in an organized fashion.
The company is not sure what it wants to be when it "grows up"

    Advice to Management

Don't pursue new business accounts or industry segments unless your production, quality, & other support functions are fully staffed & capable of handling the growth.

    Pros

Still a lot of good people still there (ex-DuPont) employees, very good people & great co-workers.

    Cons

Since buyout in 2013 and becoming "axalta", completely different company. Only worried about share holders stock. Treat employees like garbage, pay structure is horrible, bonus is smallest of ALL competitors.

    Advice to Management

Drain the swamp of upper / middle management. Micro managing is taking over an most all employee's moral is at all time low. Company is moving in opposite direction.

    Pros

Honestly, the biggest pro is some of the people who work here. Most, if not all, of those are from the legacy company. Those folks understand who built this business and what it takes to make it great. They are the ones that care and have the right values.

    Cons

Most managers have a holier than thou attitude. Most don't make eye contact with you, or even try to say hi when they pass you. They are not engaging and give the appearance that they really don't care about you as a person. The culture is also very harsh. Most people are constantly walking on eggshells and trying to stay under the radar because you never know from one day to the next who will be here and who will have been let go. There is a very poor work/life balance as well.

    Advice to Management

Get with the times. Start realizing what makes employees happy. Happy employees are productive employees. Don't say that people are your greatest asset, show them that they are. At the end of the day your words are meaningless.

    Pros

    Salary competitive
Leniency with hours (dependent upon function and supervisor)

    Cons

White men are go-getters...women who behave the same are "inappropriate" and get passed over for promotions. Management style is zero communication, bully everyone into insecurity, guilty until proven innocent. No recognition for accomplishments anymore, every Friday someone is fired, just a cloud of despair and negativity. Really gone downhill over last year...used to be an exciting place to work. Even management is afraid of losing their jobs so the CYA is over the top...no support or employee engagement.

    Advice to Management

You might want to send org announcements to everyone affected..not just your 3 besties... This "exclusiveness" is only causing a major divide and more dysfunction.
