    Pros

Good team building, benefits are competive, room for advancement

    Cons

If your a black male it's the worst company to be employed by. All white male leadership team.
My personal experience has been the most uncomfortable job I've ever had. I would not recommend this to any black male professional.

    Advice to Management

Look in the mirror you'll see what's wrong. You do not value black males!

I have been working at Axalta as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Overall a very nice group of people.

    Cons

Company does not invest in appropriate technology and sufficient training to help departments become efficient. Time is spent executing repetitive tasks and "workarounds" - really unfortunate.

    Advice to Management

Move towards investing in appropriate technology and sufficient training to help the employees who are dedicated to your company. Be open to administering surveys for feedback.

    Pros

Free coffee ...that's all I can say for a pro

    Cons

No respect from leadership, if you are one of the "worker-bee's" you get absolutely no respect, no acknowledgement of good / hard work and forget about a bonus, you are basically there to make your managers and directors look good. Took away personal holidays and increases are ridiculous. Company looks down on anyone being responsible enough to work from home if they need to, yet they put us in this open floor environment, and we have to endure nothing but distractions while leadership works behind closed doors in their offices.

    Advice to Management

Management, realize that your "worker-bees" are the ones that make you look good, try thanking your team, acknowledging hard work.

    Pros

Most people do not have to (or just do not) work very hard.

    Cons

Zero benefits for contractors. Minimal hiring potential. Poor attitudes all around.

    Advice to Management

Put more effort into contractor development and make appropriate change to close that revolving door.

I have been working at Axalta full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Honestly, the biggest pro is some of the people who work here. Most, if not all, of those are from the legacy company. Those folks understand who built this business and what it takes to make it great. They are the ones that care and have the right values.

    Cons

Most managers have a holier than thou attitude. Most don't make eye contact with you, or even try to say hi when they pass you. They are not engaging and give the appearance that they really don't care about you as a person. The culture is also very harsh. Most people are constantly walking on eggshells and trying to stay under the radar because you never know from one day to the next who will be here and who will have been let go. There is a very poor work/life balance as well.

    Advice to Management

Get with the times. Start realizing what makes employees happy. Happy employees are productive employees. Don't say that people are your greatest asset, show them that they are. At the end of the day your words are meaningless.
