A fast paced company that challenges me, but also allows me to live my life

Mar 9, 2023 - Operations Analyst in New York, NY

    Business Outlook

    Pros

I really feel like people at the company live by the values. There is a culture of "we're all in this together" and everyone wants the product to be successful. I also like that the team is able to move quickly on important things, but still do it in a thoughtful way. The leadership are incredibly inspiring and enthusiastic! I also feel that they are really respectful of people with families or people who have lives outside of work (aka everyone). The remote environment in the US also makes for a really flexible work environment

    Cons

The company is growing quickly, so like any mid size "startup" there are some growing pains since so many people are new, but I feel like they have taken steps to really make things better in this area over the past 6 months.

    Building some great things

    Jan 11, 2023 - Anonymous Employee

    Business Outlook

    Pros

Axonius is doing an awsome job building a fantastic product. Much of their team is willing to go the extra mile and ensure employees are rewarded and acknowledged appropriately. There are also great opportunities within the company to help grow.

    Cons

With the recession, some people have received little to no raise this year, which is demoralizing at best. There are also some issues with senior leadership and how they generally act. A few members of senior leadership do not have a background in leadership, which leads to some questionable decisions.

    Axonius Response

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, we appreciate your input! It's great to hear that you have had a positive experience working as a team at Axonius! We are extremely proud of our people and team culture - thank you for highlighting what makes us special. With regard to compensation increases and leadership - these are important. We continually review compensation against the market as well as an individual's performance, and we have always reviewed compensation at least once a year and made adjustments where it made sense. On the leadership front, we continue to enhance our manager development program and are looking forward to providing more support to our manager population this year. We believe deeply in strong leadership and will work hard to keep the bar high. If you have any specific suggestions or additional thoughts you would like to share, please don't hesitate to reach out to me directly at nurit.shiber@axonius.com. Thank you for being at Axonius! Very inexperienced leadership

    Pros

Good benefits. Work from home. They spend a lot of money on marketing. They are highly rated by industry research firms.

    Cons

Very young Senior Management team. Micro management of sales. There is a large disconnect between on Axonius views Axonius and how the market views Axonius.

    Axonius Response

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I'm sorry that you didn't have a positive experience with our senior management team - we hear your feedback and value it. At Axonius, we often invest in promoting from within, giving emerging leaders an opportunity to grow into management roles, but we acknowledge that this isn't always easy. We have grown quickly and many of our managers still have a lot to learn. I personally take leadership seriously and will continue to work on making sure our bar is high for how we all lead our teams. I would be interested to learn more about your experiences selling into the market if you would be willing to share. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me at nick.degnan@axonius.com. Thanks for your time at Axonius. Nick Degnan SVP of Sales

    Top Tier: Product, Leadership, Culture

Jul 29, 2022 - Sr. Account Executive in Denver, CO

    Business Outlook

    Pros

Top down messaging from leadership is smart and ethical. Product is one of the first to go to market in the CAASM space and has a strong reputation amongst SMB and Enterprise Seciroty professionals across the world. Employees of all statuses are seen as equals and enabled to succeed for themselves and for the team effort.

    Cons

Just your unavoidable growing pains of a start up. As employee count grows at faster rates, processes, technologies, and other operational aspects of a business are stressed. To be fair, I am overall impressed with the way the business identifies and solves procedural problems that result from these growing pains.

    Axonius Response

Thank you so much for sharing your perspective and we are very sorry that you didn't have the experience you were hoping for. We notice that your role was Subject Matter Expert and so your feedback makes sense. The SME team wasn't being managed the way we had anticipated, and once this became clear, we quickly took action and have since made changes, including replacing the manager on the team and reorganizing the function. We appreciate the time that you did spend with us and if you have any further thoughts you'd like to share, please reach out. Feedback helps us grow. Don't hesitate to email me directly at Nurit.Shiber@axonius.com.

One of the best companies I've worked for

Dec 2, 2021 - Marketing in Boston, MA
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

This company is fantastic. We're rapidly scaling and in the past 12 months have gone from startup to a more established org. This means a lot of hands-on learning, ability to define new areas of the team and functions within the team. I'm working on bigger projects than I ever have before and have a lot of autonomy to try new things. I have help and guidance when I need it, but also have the ability to figure things out on my own, too. Great growth potential and a focus on promoting from within. Working at Axonius will be one of the pillar experiences of my career,

    Cons

We've grown a lot in the last year, and with that comes some growing pains. Leadership is great at hearing and acknowledging what's working and what isn't, and coming up with solutions to solve the problems. We move quickly and the volume of work is high, but I've found my team and manager are great about promoting time off, work-life balance, etc. We're also empowered to set our own boundaries to better promote that balance and take care of ourselves. We have big goals and leadership knows we can't accomplish them if everyone is burned out.
