I have been working at Axway full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

My paycheck each pay period. I have nothing positive to say about this company.

    Cons

Serious lack of management and leadership. Absolutely no career growth. They promote who they want; not who's qualified.

    Advice to Management

Horrible management; including what you call "Senior" management. Very TOP HEAVY! Too many so-called managers, directors with no management skills whatsoever.

    Pros

Decent showing for TAC and customer's upgrading to the new platform. They will treat customers like a country club member. Employees, well everyday is like starting their first day, as though it was Groundhog Day.

    Cons

Constant detours among at the leadership level. I had 4 direct report changes in 8 months, coupled with shifts in territories. 4 steps forward only to have you take 6 steps back. Operations is never in sync with the sales cycle but then again, with the changes at the top, every day is like raking leaves during a wind storm.

    Advice to Management

Clean house. Stop growing through acquisition, instead do so through organically. Stop the revolving door of sales leadership as though you are the mafia, it's to transparent and your customers see through the BS.

I worked at Axway full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    . Some people are nice
. Base pay is usually slightly above average (but only because they need it to be to attract anyone)
. If you're French & looking for a job in the U.S., you'll be comfortable here

    Cons

. Management is negligent & rude (passive aggressive), management take too long to implement needed changes, does not reply to emails, management is not seen as leadership but more as management, does not inspire loyalty, makes many promises & does not follow through, does not provide appropriate prospecting tools to sales personnel
. No career advancement (do not expect to advance at this company unless you are French & you know the CEO)
. Does not give raises, acquires a new company once a year
. Keeps on old management that has been running the company into the ground for the last few years and continues to promote them
. Extremely French & beurocratic old world company
. steadily on the decline (the rats are abandoning ship)
. Absolutely no culture, HR does nothing to promote real culture, clueless or has no budget
. Company has made some bad mistakes with product, acquires company & kills off their brand effectively killing off the product brand recognition, too proud to accept acquisitions under a different brand name
. You constantly have to defend yourself from everyone at the company, everyone is working for themselves and pointing fingers
. Marketing is given no budget & with what budget they're given, they don't return an ROI
. Products are old, cannot compete in the market anymore with both functionality & price
... Seems like I could go on forever... but I'll stop here.

    Advice to Management

    This section is pointless.

I have been working at Axway full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The people are the backbone of the company. For the most part all the workers do 100% or as much of it that can done regardless of the time & effort that it takes to complete it.

The company is always trying to achieve what is on the horizon or the next hot direction.

Environment is great but thats again a tribute to the people that make things happen.

It's a great place to get your foot in the door as far as a tech job goes and really learn and you'll be exposed to a lot of different type of technologies and bolster ones resume.

Good employee benefits. Not groundbreaking but provides decent options for all employees that are full time.

    Cons

Management is somewhat short sited and at times unwilling to accept realities on how things actually work (technically) and communication with supervisors is difficult.

Axway sometimes is purposely vague with truths to prospective customers and instead reactively attempt to make things a reality and occasionally employ smoke and mirrors.

They are also not inline with regular employee or management reviews.

I've worked there in excess of 6 years and have always written my own review and have only received a pay bump / recognition a handful of times without cost of living adjustments, etc. Long term career wise its not a safe bet.

Job descriptions change as the needs of the company change but they should reflect the jobs actually performed. My title stayed the same for many years so as to give the illusion of having Axway appear to pay employees adequately. In short they need take better care of the employees and their families financially.

The company only grows via acquisitions and seems to cull long term employees in favor of cheaper recent college grads over the last maybe 5 years or longer. Future is uncertain but I believe it is a Sr Management issue.

    Advice to Management

Please really look at these cons as constructive criticism and help make Axway great again. It's not the same company it once was.
