Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're glad you enjoy working at top hospitals through Aya. Travel nursing does consist of taking assignments (of varying weeks) in a variety of locations, which means you'll typically be moving to different places every few months. Your recruiter can look into other assignments in a particular area if there's a place you'd like to stay longer. But it all depends on what's available at that time.

Growing Pains and Groupthink - Lots of Guardians and not a lot of Innovators

      Pros

      - Very informal working environment which is great because there is no pressure to dress or look a certain way in order to do your job - Unlimited DTO (if you can find someone to back you up, and have the time to take it off. Covid didn't help but helping save lives doesn't make it all too bad) - Fully stocked kitchen and free latte vending machine (can't wait to go back to the office just for this!)

      Cons

      - Pay is not competitive at all especially if you live in the San Diego area - There is a lot of favoritism going around. You don't feel safe going to HR with a complaint because they're probably friends with who you have an issue with. (Happened to a colleague) - No clear benchmarks for promotions. Management say one thing, then turn right around and do something different. - Your hard work doesn't speak for itself if you don't have the "right people" knowing who you are - Company culture has the college / Sorority vibe. If that is not for you, then you will not fit. - For a company that support diversity causes, there is VERY LITTLE diversity in the company itself, especially in management.
