Pros

This company is such an amazing place of business. They really stick to their Aya attitude that they build and develop amongst every employee. The company truly invest in you as a person to grow. Not only that they look at you as an individual and a true human being that has a life outside of work. They strive to ensure a healthy work life balance. I could Go on and on about the company and what a good place it is too work!

Cons

Sometimes it would be nice to be able to go into and Office and that currently is not available for us.

Don't expect the technology to get better. The mounds of tech debt are scary. Like sensitive data available to those who shouldn't have it scary. You will be stressed beyond healthy levels all the time because all we ever have time for is fixing things... Temporarily. We are never allowed to fix things for good. Everything is so convoluted and political. If you want to work somewhere you can grow, go somewhere else. Technology skills will deteriorate here. Guaranteed. If you want to get promoted, be one of the engineers who sticks around. They will promote you regardless of your abilities or not. Asking questions will put you on the "counseling" list. Everyone is new, yet everyone thinks "we should do things the way we did at my last job." No one looks at the product and evaluates their opinion based on what works well in the product or not. There are no objective decisions made in this engineering department. It's all about personal recognition and making yourself look good over your colleagues. So sad. I was so excited to be part of Aya. Now I can't wait to get away. :-(

Pros

Quick communication and placement. Lots of open contracts. Aya seems to take better care of their nurses than other travel agencies. Good benefits and coverage for sick days.

Cons

Rates have decreased recently across the board.

Pros

Unlimited PTO (manager actually supports PTO), amazing coworkers in all teams, great healthcare

Cons

Micromanagement galore for things that actually don't impact the business but looks good metric wise for executives, director is clearly biased on who she brings on board and promotes; anyone who offers any constructive feedback will never be promoted, they're making you go faster without compensation for the increased speed and workloads, promotions are based on favoritism and "if it's convenient" for them; many people in this dept have asked their leads what they need to do to be promoted and their leads don't have answers for them and say they're doing amazing in all areas. This does not help with anyone's growth and if you choose to stay here at Aya, your corporate growth will be stunted unless you are able to magically liked by an exec and promoted to a manager/director position

Pros

-great for first time travelers -lots of specialists that are great resources along the way -plenty of contract options (east and west coast)

Cons

-you can find same contract with other agencies for slightly higher rates

*Able to move from job to job *Medical and dental insurance are fantastic even with a family *Able to find a job anywhere *Open communication is what the company stives for and is dependent on *Able to work a flexible schedule *At will means if you have a medical emergency you can leave and come back at the company

Cons

*May work at a bad hospital and will have to finish assignment unless you bring up safety issues/ OSHA concerns *Signed an agreement not to sue the company due to changes in rates via hospital volatility *If you have a bad recruiter you are in for a bad time regarding open communication and assignment details. *A bad recruiter will more likely block you from the hospital if they are inexperienced and cannot stand up on your behalf *Price changes can happen but you can leave the assignment based on the writing of your contract

If you aren't interested in traveling then they are not the company for you

Fully Remote capable, with an OPTION to go into an office. Unlimited PTO benefit! Collaborative teams!

Have not been able to find anything negative; which is a rare thing to be able to say.

Team was great, direct manager was great and job perks are great

Cons

It's hard to connect with upper management. I'd say it's a good job but kinda gotta figure it out on your own and know someone is always watching
