I have been working at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill part-time

I worked at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Get to see some semi-famous artists perform
Get to hear/see performances while you work
Servers can make good tips depending on performances of the night
Lively energy when performances are going on
    Free dinner provided

    Cons

Never until this job had I imagined management could be this disgraceful.
They use intimidation tactics towards employees and make the general atmosphere very hostile and anxiety-inducing, sketchy behavior ("lose" track of your checks/paper checks used not electronic/you must keep up with your hours/very 'under the table'), no organization whatsoever (you will have to schedule and organize shifts with coworkers yourself usually), are not personable to employees (don't even know their employees' names), inappropriate behavior including sexual advances and jokes, name calling, some physical acts of aggression against drunk customers.

As for the place, very dark vibes, employees are all generally unhappy, no chances for any real bonuses/promotions, poor career outlook, very 'dead' skeleton crew during day shift, no benefits.

    Advice to Management

Quit and let better managers fill your positions.

    Pros

There is room for advancement and they offer many opportunities from within the company. They offer competitive wages for management.

    Cons

Such a large company with so many different ideas many of the best ones gets looked over instead of explored.

    Pros

None...the food is tasteless southern food.the place is falling apart, ownership is terrible and ignorant. There's great work life balance though- because it is never busy

    Cons

Owner has no business owning a restaurant, staff is terrible, nasty and look like homeless people. You have to pay a cover to eat dinner. Sales team is vendicitve and if they don't like you your out. Restaurant will probably go under in less then a year. The menu advertises souvenir glass wear the restaurant doesn't have. Locals don't come here; owner has a bad reputation in community. This place attracts the wrong crowd...great place to work if you don't want to make money.

    Advice to Management

Run- go get another job. You are surrounded by terrible people and there is no future for you. Nothing has ever changed and nothing will.

    Pros

Laid back job. U don't have anyone on your back yelling at u. Manager alright ,employees alright it can get hard at times when they try to stop employees from getting over time and leave pressure on that one person.

    Cons

Not enough hours don't want to move u around to learn new things u may have help sometimes or not no benefits and no weekends off don't want to work with your schedule and except u to work 4 hours if business slow which I don't have a problem but not all the time.

    Advice to Management

Need more weekends off and benefits and also work with employee scheduling.
