    Pros

Free lunch and good working environment. If you need to learn all about hospitality, this is the place to go.

    Cons

GM at his particular property is a tyrant with fake smile. She's the cause of all the turnover.

    I worked at B.F. Saul Company full-time

    Pros

401k matching at 3:1 and health benefits very affordable. That's about it.

    Cons

Worst career move ever. Misrepresented job from the beginning. President of hospitality group is a tyrant who regularly curses out associates and upper management is often clueless and are more concerned about kissing up. Employees are regularly threatened with their jobs. Impossible to get things done in a timely manner. Additionally, if you get sick, expect that they'll violate HIPPA law as they did with me because they don't trust you. Worst company ever, glad to be out of there and back to the real world.

    Advice to Management

Take lesson from your own policy manual and hold your senior management to the same expectations as everyone else.

    Pros

I thought it had a good structure and good values.

    Cons

Mostly a man's company. It's harder to promotions as a woman.
Not the friendliest company to work with when management yells at their employees in the upper levels

    I worked at B.F. Saul Company full-time

    Pros

I would say the only benefits of working was the health care, granted still expensive to pay for us over employed and and 401K match.

    Cons

    Horrible management.
Low pay but expects you to do so much.
A no one cares mind set in getting the job done.

    Advice to Management

Care for those lower employees who work for you. We are the ones who keep the operations going and the customer satisfied. Change and hire new people in corporate for a fresh change of ideas.

I have been working at B.F. Saul Company full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

401k match is the ONLY reason most endure this outdated, company.
Also, it's a nice place to hide if you aren't talented, corporate runs itself on autopilot.

    Cons

Lies are told prior to hiring and the reality is quite a different experience. Lack of respect by corporate team to field with unrealistic sales expectations, while they sit back and travel, shop, overdose on botox and call out weekly. Often times they brag on their personal assets to us in the field, very poor taste. Small bonuses are paid-eventually. HR needs good leadership that care or can fake it better. District leadership bring zero to the table. It's basically a gang of bullies with no true leadership qualities. However, if the right people like you, then you're golden- regardless of talent.

    Advice to Management

Hold yourself to the same standards as you do the hotel leaders. Give paid holidays to the field, like you give to yourself. Lower insurance premiums to the field so we can pay what you pay. Stop jerking us around with sales bonus lies!
Haven't you noticed that your sales team hates it here? Wake up!

Fire yourselves and allow good/fresh change to happen.

I have been working at B.F. Saul Company full-time

    Pros

The company culture makes B.F. Saul a great place to work. Employees are friendly. There are also strong Professional Development opportunities and a good benefits package.

    Cons

The divisions within B.F. Saul are very siloed. Behind in technology and use of many outdated processes.

    Advice to Management

Give clear guidance during inclement weather. Introduce more technology and move away from paper reporting. Give employees increased schedule flexibility with occasional telecommute options; especially during inclement weather.
