    Pros

10% discount is the only decent bit, met some nice people and had a laugh with some, but not others

    Cons

Too much demands on staff, talk to the staff like crap, can't think of anything else to write so I'll leave it

    Advice to Management

    Pros

    Free tea coffee
    Meeting different people
    Helping customers
    10% discount on most items
    Free uniform and safety boots
    Free parking

    Cons

Minimum wage is too less for work put in
Not enough staff often to ‘face up’ the store at the end of the shift which results in one person doing the work of three whilst supervisors sit on their backsides watching staff on cctv
Expected to work over the finish time to ensure store is tidy but not get paid for it
Given unreasonable targets of putting hordes of stock out from pallets which can’t fit out on shelves in the store
Supervisors speak to you as dirt and think of you as unemotional robots

    Advice to Management

Communicate with your employees directly and listen to their grievances instead of being rude behind their backs and sweet to their faces
Be a leader instead of a manager
Employ more staff to cover busy periods
Allocate areas fairly when ‘facing up’

    Pros

Friendly Staff, always plenty to do, 10% staff discount

    Cons

Poor management- sometimes they would overspend the budget so no one got overtime, didnt seem to talk to each other enough which ended up with staff doing something one way by one manager but then told to do it differently by another.

Unsociable hours if working on close down/evening shift

    Advice to Management

Work together more to tell staff how to do things and learn have to budget rotas better.

    Pros

    - A great team of friendly and hard-working people.

    Cons

    - Store manager is rude, unapproachable and picks favourites who he lets get away with anything.

    - Deputy store manager is unreliable and doesn't seem to know what he's doing most of the time.

    - Shifts changed with less than 24 hours notice and usually without any notification whatsoever.

    - Low pay.

    Advice to Management

Stop treating certain people better than everyone else, notify people if their shift has been changed and give proper notice.

I have been working at B&M Retail part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

If you're a customer looking for a bargain, or even staff looking for a bargain, this is the place to go.
I get along fantastically with 90% of my coworkers. The work itself isn't too difficult (I work in Customer service)

    Cons

    Management.
The management at my store has been rocky to say the least, we've gone through 4 store managers this year. I've been asking for more hours and longer shifts for over a year but still only get 8 - 16 hours a week. The managers are terrible at putting up the rota, it can be 5pm on Saturday and you won't know if you have work the next day or not. or 3am while you're asleep a supervisor will message you asking if you can start 2 hours early the next day (but you've already set your alarm for you regular shift) so you miss out on 2 hours overtime because of their competence.
Other thing is pure favouritism. Friends with the manager? You can have 5 breaks and do little to no work at all. Nice for some, awful for everyone else who has to pick up the slack.

    Advice to Management

Learn some organisation skills. Communicate with your staff.
