Pros
Stock Controller is recent role I was appointed to Great hours, early shifts Monday-Friday, off weekends. Overtime offered when available Paperwork and computer work based, less labour intensive than previous replenishment and floor roles Great team to work with
Cons
Minimum wage while requiring a lot of responsibility to ensure stock adjustments/reports are accurate for audits and stocktakes Difficult for one stock controller to control a stock file as vast as B&M The Torex Nova oracle system for stock orders and adjustment is outdated and often has issues and is a learning curve to navigate Stock issues with distribution centres
