Positive and great work environment . Being part of a team and working with other sites creates growth and job advancement.

    Cons

Working 20 years for BASF and the only real con is they cater to getting fresh young people and do not use the talent and experience of the longer tenured employees.

I have been working at BASF Corporation full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Excellent benefit options and opportunity for education. Room for growth, but only with relocation.

    Cons

Poor management style and discrimination. Everyone has blinds and is overlooking discrimination which happens at work. Very unethical behavior. No room for growth since only few managerial positions are filled. Very small place and everyone knows one another. Uneducated management and lack of decision making.

    Advice to Management

Take consideration of all employees and treat everyone equally and with respect.

    Cons

Always starting a new position in a new company is a challenge I'm ready for that challenge

I have been working at BASF Corporation full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

BASF has competitive benefits including company perks. All the benefits of a large global company. Excellent products that are easy to stand behind. Talented people for the most part.

    Cons

Large company - can be difficult to navigate. As you get more advanced in your career, opportunities for advancement and career development are more difficult as they continue to hire talent from the outside .

    Advice to Management

Look more at developing your talent within the company .

I have been working at BASF Corporation (More than a year)

    Pros

Good for full time employees. Co-workers are friendly but I feel left out when they talk about gym classes or stepping competitions...

    Cons

Unfair hiring process that does not look at whole candidate~ HR interviews are meaningless. Contractors feel very divided and isolated. Half of my team are contractors and half are FTEs. We are both doing the same job but each contractor has more than a years worth of experience and we're training the new Full-time employees. Very awkward EHS team to be a part of.

    Advice to Management

Please improve your ethics reporting process. I never got a clear answer for why HR lied to my face about being invited to the second interview. that they promised me. My HR contact rarely showed up during the times we scheduled to meet, and her story was completely inconsistent with what my boss told me .
My boss told me I had great work performance and even told HR that she wanted me. When I submitted an ethics complaint, I got no resolution other than someone else from HR saying "I don't know what was going on in her head".

If you value contractors, please show them through at least some sort of action. Everything I've ever asked for as a contractor has been denied so far (1 day working from home, a standing desk for my ergonomic health, a headset, etc)

I have been working at BASF Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The pay is good, great benefits, good bonuses, great corporate culture.

    Cons

Career development is a big issue. Management does not pay attention and gives inaccurate reviews, because they were traveling all year.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to understand my job and what I really do. Currently my boss has very little idea, even though I have held meetings to update him. They also need to work on career development. My boss is extremely hands off, to the point that it creates obstacles for my career.
