I worked at BB&T (More than a year)

    Pros

Best reason to work here at Bb&t is the fact that you get a free account. Second reason is the starting hourly wage.

    Cons

I didn't like the fact that I was sent to different branches every other week. We were always short staffed.

    Advice to Management

Try to show your associates that you appreciate their hard work. Offer to repay the gas that was used to go to other branches.

I have been working at BB&T full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good overall benefits, pension, plus a good 401k match. Very casual work environment, laid back and generally flexible schedule. Clean and safe facilities.

    Cons

Low financial compensation, very low wage growth and limited opportunities for advancement. Better place to end a career than start one.

    Advice to Management

Give employees a reason to stay. If BB&T wants to be a national Bank they need to attract and retain better talent. Also stop running internal "engagement" surveys, you learn nothing because there's no reason for employees to answer them honestly.

    I worked at BB&T full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Its okay only if you work on any shift besides weekend (creative). A very pleasant atmosphere on the other shifts.

    Cons

Working on Creative Shift is like being on a slave ship

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the management team on creative, they do not distribute work evenly and are not fair as to some people being rated on one job only and others have three jobs to make production on, which is very unfair,
