I have been working at BB&T full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Lower management is great. They are very helpful and always have their door open. Coworkers are also very friendly and everyone helps each other out.

    Cons

The work load varies by the time of year and can some times be unmanageable. If you are a hard worker you are often taken advantage of by being given a heavier work load, while others get away with a lower work load and taking breaks every hour. People that slack off are rarely reprimanded, which is very frustrating. Over time is occasionally offered, but they usually wait until everyone is so far behind it is impossible to catch up. There is very little opportunity for advancement and promotions are given as a title with no pay increase. With promotions you are expected to take more difficult files, but you don't get paid anymore to do it. Upper management rules with threats and rarely recognizes achievements. They turn what could be a positive enjoyable work environment into a frustrating and negative environment.

    Advice to Management

Reward and notice your hard working, dependable employees before they go elsewhere.

    Pros

Bb&T has great benefits such as insurance and a pension, the company is values driven and client focused.

    Cons

No room for advancement and low annual raises. Oh and extremely outdated systems and internal policies. Sometimes feel like the focus is not on keeping associates happy, but rather on the top tier making money.
