    I worked at BB&T full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Hours were normal and benefits were okay.

    Cons

Everything else. Sometimes I just look back in awe of how backwards this place was. They prey on workers with their backs up against the wall. Single mothers or anybody who can't afford to quit. It was absolutely ridiculous how disorganized everything was from top to bottom. The work environments were toxic with sales culture and general drama.

    Advice to Management

Get ride of King and get a CEO this side of 60. Get off of 18 systems to do banking, half of which run on COBOL.

    Pros

    Cons

Management was horrible. The job itself wasn't bad, but management is the reason I chose to leave the company

    I worked at BB&T full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay was good, benefits were good.

    Cons

Management was narcissistic. My manager hired friends to work in the department and those were the only employees who mattered. She was controlling and manipulative. She should not have been a manager. Actually she should not have worked with people at all.

    Advice to Management

Review your managers. Ask for feedback from the employees who work under the managers.

    I worked at BB&T full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good benefits and other perks like the Life Peak Wellness and BB&T Marketplace

    Cons

Corporate organization that does not show gratitude for it's employees. Not chance for advancement. You do the work of 2 or 3 people and they won't reward you for it. Glad I resigned!

    Advice to Management

Show every employee gratitude, not just the one's who make you money!

    I worked at BB&T full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great Atmosphere BB&T was a great company to work for. I only left because of a new opportunity but I may be going back.

    Cons

Pay could have been more competitive

    Advice to Management

Overworking your employees with low pay will force them to leave.

    Pros

excellent pay and benefits. pleasant work conditions.

    Cons

many processes make it difficult for new bankers to get acclimated to the position. easy simple fast is definitely not the case with loans. no set career plan or path. difficult to move up. there are many processes that waste time and effort to fix simple issues.

    Advice to Management

get yourselves into the branch to find out exactly what is happening. too much power distance.
