I have been working at BB&T part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

If you're interested in working at BB&T, they promote from within. So this position is a great place to start.

    Cons

I did not sign up to be a salesman, but a bank is a business and they do have multiple streams of income. Light pressure from upper mgmt to cross sell products, open new accounts, and to open new credit card accounts.

    Advice to Management

Be as transparent as possible and be forward with your empoyees

    I worked at BB&T full-time

    Pros

    Good company with great values

    Cons

Pay is not competitive and it is difficult to move up unless you have gone through the company leadership program. Pay increases are inconsistent and not applied fairly.

    Advice to Management

Align pay increases to performance ratings as it is disheartening to be told you have exceed expectations yet receive a minimal raise despite higher increases given to others.

The best thing about working this position is the level of interaction with clients. Some of them rely on you daily.
