I have been working at BBA Aviation (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very nice people. The environment is relaxed. The pressure is not what I thought it would be. There's a lot of work to do but the support is there if you need it which makes life easier.

    Cons

The benefits could be better. From what I've seen the benefits are really expensive and don't cover a lot. As aviation company the benefits could be better.

    Advice to Management

Look at the benefits and find a way to improve the cost and coverage.

I have been working at BBA Aviation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Large company with resources to invest in the business. Structure with written policies and procedures. Interesting industry. Potential for advancement if you are in favor with the right people.

    Cons

Too compartmentalized. Rigid. Bully attitude. Politics get in the way of just getting your job done. Bureaucracy has overtaken headquarters and it is difficult to get quick decisions and obstacles removed.

    Advice to Management

Walk the talk. Safety program is a dog and pony show. Values and vision communicated by people who demonstrate do what I say not what I do. Bigger title and more money does not make you better than someone else.

I worked at BBA Aviation part-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great flexibility for Students. Also unlimited hours (round the clock fueling operations) Good work environment for workers of ALL Ages.

    Cons

Out Door work can be a little overwhelming especially in inclement weather. Wages and workload sometimes do not add up. You have to depend on overtime to make decent Money.

    Advice to Management

Stay on top of Scheduling Issues. Short staff issues on makes the job harder for employees especially during the busy hours of operations.

I worked at BBA Aviation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Starting pay was $16 per hour. Great location.

    Cons

Poor leadership and management skills. Unrealistic expectations. Very large work load. Manager expects you to fill prior employers shoes with very little time to train. God forbid you have a question to ask during training. Managers have literally rolled their eyes in annoyance. Way too much pressure for a newbie. I was really looking forward to working here. Worst experience I have ever had in life!

    Advice to Management

Management needs to breathe and not take on such large roles if they are inept because all they do is throw the pressure on their employees which is not fair. Take the time to train your employees thoroughly. Be Professional!
