      Pros

Great accounts and clients with name recognition. Lots of opportunity to jump in and ask questions in all sorts of areas if you have a great team on one of the larger accounts, but you get way more experience on a quicker basis on smaller teams. The work is always incredible and it's great to share with family and friends.

      Cons

Being a self starter is a requirement and you have to actively follow up for reviews. There is no clear line or process for career advancement it often entirely depends upon your team and if your direct manager will advocate and keep pushing for you over the months it takes to get full approval. Large agencies are rife with politics and BBDO is no exception. Depending on your team there are incredibly long hours, including weekends.

      Great Company

      Pros

Great clients, awesome views, friendly people. Their internship program has to be one of the best around! During the internship process, I was able to work with two different clients and present ideas that were actually put into action. My supervisors were really great in allowing me to shadow them without getting annoyed. They have an awesome kitchen/break room area on the 9th floor.

      Cons

Long hours, lack of communication from some unfriendly individuals. Not all of the interns had as good of supervisors as I had.

      Good place to get started

      Pros

Great place to learn about the world of advertising. The salaries are not high but not super low for lower positions but it seems like they paid well for higher positions. Company looks good on resume.

      Cons

It is hard to move up within the company. Many people would leave for a few years and then come back just to be able to move up. Depending on the department and boss you could be working long hours.

      Good people, overworked, bad pay

      Pros

      - very talented people, overall pleasant and fun to work with- - bar is great - great projects, top clients, fast paced and exciting work

      Cons

      - management simply does not care about their employees. Many employees do not get raised (even cost of living raise) for many years. - HR department is basically non-existent - very long hours for very little pay --> you will receive more and more work and responsibilities with no additional compensation - can be political, but hey, that's anywhere you work

      Cons

The agency works extremely long hours and employees sometime come in during the weekend. Job can also be tedious, but that's an internship.
