I worked at BCBG full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great discount- 50% for associates, 70% off for managers, 75% off perk few times a year on 4 items

    Cons

horrible upper management, policies and practices are constantly changing, a lot of turnover, low pay, no raises in the last 2 years for anyone due to the company being bought out

    Advice to Management

stop changing practices week to week. there needs to be consistency within a company/store. SMs are understanding for the most part, but DMs put too much pressure on everyone.

I have been working at BCBG full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great clothes, good discount, you meet great people, if you have a good team to work with work will be fun, great job if you like to talk

    Cons

Weekends, low salary, not too stable, constantly changing rules, upper management is terrible, they don't care about you unless you are making money for them, too many guidelines based on appearance

    Advice to Management

Stop ever changing rules and policies. Treat employees better and compensate accordingly.

I have been working at BCBG part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Working for both the partner shops and retail are great. Both are interconnected and extremely involved with each other

    Cons

Working for the partnershops can be a hassle simply due to the fact that we are obligated to assist with the department store and there is no distinction. We also get paid bi weekly

    Advice to Management

    More Organization, More Communication

    Pros

I got many hours and became very close with my manager. I worked there the longest out of all the girls who were working there. I got sometimes 30 hours a week which was great.

    Cons

Management could be a lot better. Plus, working by yourself or with one person at Lord and Taylor really takes a toll on productivity.

    Advice to Management

Please train them more to step up to the plate and have employees want to stay with the company longer.

I worked at BCBG full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I worked for BCBG as a keyholder.

    Cons

Keyholder escalated into an interim store manager after the store manager quit and assist manager was prosecuted for stealing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise.
I was then pushed out by a 50+ year old Assistant Manager who was forced to come to our store because her previous store couldn't stand her.

    Advice to Management

Hire comparable talent and stop treating young adults with bright minds like idiots.

    Pros

Discount on clothing, non-stressful. Usually I was only working with one manager at a time, so it was easy to delegate tasks. Commission was set up to be an incentive but not a must. Base hourly rate was always given.

    Cons

Not many hours given. On most days there were few customers coming into the store. Yes, you get a discount on the clothing. However, you are required to wear all BCBG merchandise when you work. I ended up spending a lot of money just to have enough to wear for 3 days a week. You are required to wear at least 3 pieces each day (jacket, top, pants/ dress, jacket, statement necklace, etc.)
