Pros
Work from home opportunities are great
Cons
I lost complete respect for this company and the highest senior leadership who has since retired and has been replaced, with someone with a high degree of integrity. The leadership had not loyalty to hard working people who helped the company grow and become what it is today. The blatant turning of heads by leadership in trusting other leaders with low morals and unscrupulous methods is deplorable. BCD lost the best people because of the unrealistic expectations and lack of true leadership. Those people left to lead the company don't care about their employees and rather instill a sweatshop mentality. Having worked there for over 20 years, I would never ever entertain returning to a company that allowed key leaders to mistreat, disrespect and blatantly berate employees. JVV would be appalled at the treatment that was allowed.

Looking for feedback. What are your thoughts on when asked to provide a case study or project plan as a part of the interview process? I know BCD Travel and other start-ups make these kinds of request.
I know this is a little late. I did one for BCD Travel. They gave me two days and I busted my ass on a 5 page case study only to be called a week later to be told, “we are going to move forward with other candidates. From that day, I said NEVER AGAIN. This is a way companies get free consulting. So I have taken my BCD Travel submission and perfected it. And now when the suggestion of case studies come up, I’m straight up, “If your hiring process includes a case study study as submission, I can only comply by providing previous published pieces or a case study of my choice. Case studies require time and research and I’m not in position to give free consultation service, if is contingent on a position where you are interviewing 5 candidates.” I don’t know if that helps. I say, if it’s between you and 1 other candidate maybe, more 4, push back. Until they come up with a way to encrypt a submission so that it cannot be copied or photographed, I’ll never do another case study without pay!
