    Pros

    Cons

They text everything instead of talk on the phone

    Advice to Management

Be able to talk more instead of typing instructions

I have been working at BCD Travel full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pay Compensation Above Average (speaking from one account only) , PTO & Vacation Allotments Generous, Virtual Agent Opportunities, Local Management Teams Tend To Be Supportive

    Cons

Micromanagement Of Front Line Agents With Complete Upper Management Disconnect, Costly Health Insurance With No Company Funding & Poor Overall Benefits Package, Pay Compensation For Agent Positions Varies Drastically With No Known Company Standards, Lack Of Agent Schedule Input, Exhausting Call Center Atmosphere, Conflicting & Difficult To Understand Company Policies

    Advice to Management

Engage the US BCD workforce more actively and provide an enhanced, partially company funded benefits package. Allow more agent feedback and less client interference with BCD policies. Standardize agent pay across the board so agents are not required to take pay cuts when moving to different accounts.

I worked at BCD Travel full-time

    Pros

Two travel vouchers per year that are nearly impossible to use.

    Cons

Travel is struggling due to the internet and this company is the bottom of the barrel. They're unwilling to compromise, unable to accept that changes need to be made to stay relevant, and their senior management thinks they're saving the world when it's really just corporate travel.

I have been working at BCD Travel full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Benefits and being able to purchase vacation

    Cons

    Slim chance of advancing
Pay is not great and raises do not cover cost of living, especially since insurance keeps rising.
Two free tickets are not really free, plus no availability

    Advice to Management

Give employees better raises and more chances for advancement

I worked at BCD Travel full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I worked at BCD Travel as a multimedia designer, making videos and graphics for various departments. I really enjoyed my team, my manager, and I worked closely with the CEO and other top brass to create videos. All people I interacted with on a daily bases were easy to work with and generally liked what they did. Pay was competitive, benefits were good as well. I resigned and moved away for family reasons and regret it, but such is life.

    Cons

None! Keep up the great work.

I have been working at BCD Travel full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    * Ability to work remotely is great
    * The option to purchase extra vacation is wonderful
    * Co-workers are helpful, but not every office will be the same
    * Training was excellent; by far, the best training I've had in any job.

    Cons

    * Not enough pay for working nights, weekends and holidays
    * My friends who have been hired on for similar work by Carlson and AmEx have higher starting salaries (and looking through other reviews on this site, quite a few people mention the low salary.)
    * Micro managing
