I worked at BD full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Excellent company, strong coworkers who take their job seriously. Benefits and salary was very good. Nice place to work.

    Cons

Poor recognition of work efforts. Responsibiities are ever changing.

    Advice to Management

Senior management frequently does not acknowledge most of the employees. They hire people from the last place they worked and try to incorporate their previous work strategies in to a new environment.

I worked at BD as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great people, they're always acquiring new companies so there's always something new. You can learn a lot here if you're in the right department. The facilities are very nice and the work is good for the world as a whole. The pumps you work on help people when they really need it.

    Cons

There's not as much mentorship as there could be for entry level personnel. I found I was assigned tasks and then had to figure out how to do them without much help. That was fun, but maybe not as productive as it could have been
