    I'm glad I left

    Pros

Initially was a good company to work for. Good pay and benefits. Was a pleasant culture to work in.

    Cons

Too much work load in the past few years. Overbearing pressure as well. Very little training. Expect employees to keep up on their own but no time for that. Not enough people to handle the ever increasing work.

    Terrible Culture

    Pros

The only pros I can give this company are the extra vacation time at the end of the year (plant shuts down during the last two weeks of the year and pays the days as Holiday pay) and the option to participate in the Employee Stock Purchase plan. The company is small and they don't staff properly, so there is opportunity to learn a lot, because you're doing a lot. However, employees are often overloaded such that the quality of the work suffers and there is no time for improvement.

    Cons

The culture is terrible. There is no collaboration between departments. The management team doesn't seem to have good working relationships with each other and each department is only looking out for their own employees and processes. Therefore, there are no efforts in place to find permanent solutions to problems. The mentality is, 'I got my work done. Now I'll toss it over the wall and let the downstream people figure out what to do with it.' Many higher level Managers are extremely unprofessional, cursing during meetings, yelling at employees and demanding results without taking time to understand the problems the employees are facing and removing the roadblocks to facilitate success. Training is not existent and no one is held accountable for failures or poor work output. Communication is a joke. The company often bids on and wins business without accounting for the availability of resources to complete jobs and everything suffers for it.

If you truly appreciate honesty and integrity, look for another place.

    Pros

Benefits are above average. Good training opportunities.

    Cons

Major Lack of Leadership. Executive Engineering Leadership hides from team while making decisions in only 'their' best interest and has no pulse on what it takes to build a successful product. Main Cabin Product Leadership also hides from team. Unqualified for their positions with deceitful, false attitudes demanding respect without giving it; promotions via nepotism through religious affiliation. Kind of ironic leaving a previous company and come to BE due to conflicts with management and brought those conflicts directly to BE. Use of bully tactics creating an environment of distrust and check the box engineering...has no idea of what it means to truly engineer from inception to completion - how is this done without true ownership, if they actually followed that mantra, half of the engineering staff would be fired ...
