I worked at BGE full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You can get over time, pay is better than most call center positions in the area. Training is extensive, someone always there to assist

    Cons

Mandatory last minute overtime. You get off at 6? We'll let you know at 5:59 you have to stay longer. Definitely not for people with children

I worked at BGE (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great employees for the most part. Some great supervisors and some terrible ones.

    Cons

Exelon took over. Over time stopped unless you worked on gas side. 401 and benefits went down hill after the merger

    Advice to Management

Listen more to the employees that have. Especially if there's a problem

I worked at BGE as an intern

    Pros

Very friendly environment. Everyone is nice and easy to talk to. Pay is great for a summer intern, especially as a sophomore/junior.

    Cons

Upper management is not very welcoming or nice to the interns. They really only care about their own personal agendas and don't care to talk to interns and provide them with any guidance.
Based on experience, there doesn't seem like much room for growth within the company.

    Advice to Management

If you are a manager or whoever you are and want an intern, make sure you are willing to help them and not ignore them during their time there. If you want to have a valuable impact on the student's make sure you help them grow as a person.

    Pros

Good benefits, great coworkers, great training

    Cons

HR doesn't listen/back up employees that are being bullied by supervision and only listens too supervision. States they will do investigation on issue but doesn't follow thru. Forces you to sign papers when you disagree

    Advice to Management

Not easy only promotes people who do not understand the work or system
