I worked at BI WORLDWIDE full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You can wear shorts to work in the summer.

    Cons

Most employees wear shorts in the summer. Some look like they literally roll out of bed and into their cube. Business-wise, where do I start? Crazy out-dated processes and ideas. Their proprietary incentive programs, modules, and web/app development is laughable. Their culture is driven by sales people who are the least innovative and very old school. No real innovation and the most employees are clock-watchers who love to gossip and do the bare minimum to keep their jobs. Not a great place to work.

    Advice to Management

If you want to change the company culture you need to get rid of the outdated sales model.

I have been working at BI WORLDWIDE full-time

    Pros

At this point there are not many pros left to mention. There are a lot of good people working here, but almost none in management.

    Cons

The company is definitely a sinking ship. Sales are declining, solutions are not cost effective for customers and entire departments are falling apart. Some of the newer managers do not understand that impossible standards and expecting seasoned sales people to be cookie cutters of who they want them to be is ridiculous. The entire company is broken and people are interviewing left and right to find a better company with better solutions and more room for creativity and growth, not to mention real support instead of dictatorship.

    Advice to Management

At this point you will be unable to right this ship, a couple changes at the top will not drive success when almost the whole sales leadership is talking behind your back and you don’t listen to the real people who are selling. You need to stop bringing in the sales leaders for a status meeting, you need to bring In the BDDs without their managers if you really want to know what is going on. The BDDs are your real workers and the managers are mostly useless!

I worked at BI WORLDWIDE full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great solutions, HQ's cross functional teams and support excellent.

    Cons

Executive and Regional Sales Management do not lead effectively. Often disengaged and create toxic environments. They do not respond to constructive feedback well that can result with punitive action and retaliation circling back. Shut up and put up or else.

    Advice to Management

Develop your sales leaders to lead not dictate.
