I have been working at BJ Services full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Full training program for engineers. Opportunities for multiple promotions in the first two years, with pay increase at each level.

    Cons

Work a lot of hours in the field. 2 weeks on 1 week off.

  2. "Great place to work.....if you speak Spanish"

    Pros

Good pay.. Good overtime. That is it

    Cons

If you are in the field and not Hispanic, you better work twice as hard or you will be blackballed. . It is a good old boy club. There are better oilfield service companies to work for that are fair and impartial.

    Advice to Management

    Read the cons, address them

I worked at BJ Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Some really good people st BJ and the pay is above market

    Cons

Good, honest hardworking employees are passed over and ignored for those that have prior relationships with management. Judas is alive and well at BJS.

    Advice to Management

Realize that there employees there that do not have yours or the companies best interest at heart. They are looking to get as much from you so they can then move on. They do not buy in to your vision but they act like the biggest proponents to their direct leader and to the top leaders of the company. There is a lot of work being done to spread the HRO culture and those that really should be supporters are laughing behind your back as they build their “empire” and spend your money and resources on furthering their own future.

    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

Pay check and a pay check

    Cons

If you are not in the “club” you won’t get anything or anywhere! No matter how hard you work and how good you are! They should try paying their bills bc we can’t get anything bc we have been cut off by vendors!!! Awful place to work! They fire the wrong people and people in charge are the ones that need fired but they get raises and promotions! This company is a big joke!

    Advice to Management

Grow up! Show up! Get your head out of your....And quit showing favoritism!

I worked at BJ Services full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You're here for the pay, that's it. Training used to be top notch, though it's tapered off.

    Cons

You're here for oilfield service work. Make no mistake about it - operator, engineer or manager, everyone is disposable. Long hours, no work-life balance, treated like the bottom of a work boot from management to customer. That's what you're signing up for.

    Advice to Management

Hire and retain talent rather than buddy-buddy. The current regime of the deaf leading the blind won't bode well.
