    Pros

Pay check and a pay check

    Cons

If you are not in the “club” you won’t get anything or anywhere! No matter how hard you work and how good you are! They should try paying their bills bc we can’t get anything bc we have been cut off by vendors!!! Awful place to work! They fire the wrong people and people in charge are the ones that need fired but they get raises and promotions! This company is a big joke!

    Advice to Management

Grow up! Show up! Get your head out of your....And quit showing favoritism!

I worked at BJ Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Competitive pay, decent hours. Good 401k

    Cons

Continuously high turnover rate for mechanics at BJ in Odessa, TX It’s not the hot West Texas heat that drives good mechanics away but rather a lack of support from junior management and “do as I say, not as I do “ mentality . Taking pictures on your cellphone of your mechanics ’ on theirs is not good disciplinary procedures , but rather creates animosity.

    Advice to Management

When you guys visit from Tomball, Texas ,you will be treated to a true horse and pony show. Your Odessa Texas district has the true potential to be even better . However, during your absences , talented, educated and hard working mechanics are not given clear and concise guidance on how to advance at BJ, furthering their frustrations on giving it their all. The very unfortunate end result is good and experienced mechanics leaving, putting your organizational into further dismay by having to contract outside help, at a substantially higher cost to the company. You need to take notice and address these issues before it bites you in the butt.

I worked at BJ Services full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You're here for the pay, that's it. Training used to be top notch, though it's tapered off.

    Cons

You're here for oilfield service work. Make no mistake about it - operator, engineer or manager, everyone is disposable. Long hours, no work-life balance, treated like the bottom of a work boot from management to customer. That's what you're signing up for.

    Advice to Management

Hire and retain talent rather than buddy-buddy. The current regime of the deaf leading the blind won't bode well.

I have been working at BJ Services full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pay is compatible with other Oil Companys

    Cons

BJ Services is not a fair employer. They do not stand by their ethical codes. Management and supervisors do nor treat all employees in a fair and consistent manner.

    Advice to Management

Employees enter your organization with the thought that everyone is treated fairly but this is not the case. Corporate members need to take a closer lool at the practices of their management team and how they treat new hires. Other employees (drivers and frac workers)are afraid ro speak up for fear of reprisals.

I have been working at BJ Services full-time

    Pros

    Good insurance and benefits plan

    Cons

Parts department is a joke. Company doesn't pay its vendors. Constantly cut off from parts vendors. See a decent bit of favoritism in the shop and on who they send to the field

    Advice to Management

Pay your bills on time. Mechanics can't fix the equipment if you don't pay the parts vendors
