    Pros

Excellent facility to work in. In house bistro was excellent. The millennial group was fantastic to work with. Too many helper bees with fictional titles

    Cons

Lots. Like all large corporations they have their problems, but who doesn't? A lot of arrogant people who prefer to manage by intimidation and fear.

    Advice to Management

Let the millennial's assume the reins!

    Pros

I think the benefits and perks are very fair and that the employees are treated well and respected.

    Cons

It's still has a corporate feel to the office, so there are some rules and regulations that will just never go away - dress code, working remotely, etc.

    Advice to Management

More flexibility in scheduling, work location, dress code.

    Pros

Great company to work for, awesome job security (if you were qualified for the job) and nice people to work with.

    Cons

Unfortunately, almost all positions are understaffed which can make for some hectic and stressful times. But all-in-all it's not that bad.

    Advice to Management

    Reevaluate staffing and reduce/streamline middle-management.

I have been working at BJC HealthCare full-time

    Pros

Seeing smiling patients. Relationships/friendships made at work place

    Cons

Directors and managers do not support their supervisors. All they want are yes men/women. If you say anything or even try to people manage you will be harassed retaliated against and the terminated for little to no reason at all. If you do come on board remember one thing! Print out all emails and make sure you get specific detailed instructions in writing or they will tell you face to face one thing then tell you they never told you to do it.

    Advice to Management

Get organized and ensure your supervisors feel supported. Let people speak that is the only way to fix problems. Don't retaliate against those that speak up.

I worked at BJC HealthCare full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good benefits and medical innovation as well as care.

    Cons

There's always politics at any company. Diversity in upper management is definitely needed.

    Advice to Management

My advice is to listen to your employees not just management. Minority recruiting is necessary for any growing big/major hospital.

The need for minority upper management is needed in all aspects of your company, from the hospitals you have throughout the city to the smaller psychiatric and medical sites you have underneath the hospital's partnership. Liasion must also be for the employees and not just the agency's you partner with.

You have a great hospital and everyone tries to do anot upstanding job to best represent BJC/BJH. Keep up the good work and the employee incentives.

    Thank you

I worked at BJC HealthCare (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Self managed with a high turn around rate on repairs. Knowledgeable on multiple pieces of equipment such as infusion pumps, incubators, anesthesia machines eat... Self trained worker or acquired knowledge from co- workers.

    Cons

Not enough resources such as equipment need to make necessary repairs so many units were out sourced to third party vendors. Schooling on new equipment was not readily available so a lot of knowledge was obtained via manuals and tech support.

    Pros

    Small, community hospital. Friendly atmosphere.

    Cons

Due to the size, one often wore many hats beyond "role".

    Advice to Management

Take care of the support staff that are the core of this hospital.
