I have been working at BLT Communications full-time

    Pros

Free lunch monday/ friday Extremely talented coworkers Constantly pushes your abilities Interesting people Gift card rewards

    Cons

Some egotistical people /nepotism higher up the food chain (not all, but some) Late nights Large workload/ crazy deadlines/ demanding clients

    Advice to Management

If there was a way to curb ridiculous client requests, please do. Nobody should have to work until 1am on a consistent basis.

    I worked at BLT Communications

    Pros

Overall great group of extremely talented artists to collaborate and work with. While I got to contribute to projects I also had the chance to learn from senior level Illustrators and enhance my skill set.

    Cons

As projects and deadlines build up, so do the late nights (but, that's to be expected in the Film advertising industry)

    Advice to Management

On the first day, one of the owners of the company took time to meet me, shake my hand, and have a brief talk. Right off the bat I felt welcome and an included member of the team, regardless of my position in the company. Thanks!

    Positive Outlook

I worked at BLT Communications full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great people, and very well-run company. Management was always fair, and did whatever they could to make it a comfortable work environment. Ability to work with some of the biggest networks and studios in the industry.

    Cons

People take their work very seriously here, so its not uncommon for employees to consistently work very late hours.

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at BLT Communications full-time for more than a year

    Pros

They make nice movie posters and give free lunches two days per week. Big studios and big movies. Well known company. Big budgets.

    Cons

Stuffy office. Upper management rules by intimidation and lacks in the much needed art of communication. Bosses not leaders. Must have been bullied in their past and now take it out on their art directors. Segregation is a big problem in this office. Decor is from 1992. No structure. Corporate culture and policies. High turnover.

    Advice to Management

Lose the ego. Lead by example rather than by intimidation. Teach your upper management to become better communicators.
