I have been working at BMW full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

High hourly wage with overtime optional and non optional no union

    Cons

The way they still penalize you to cover up to 3 days off using your vacation time and not paying you for all 13 recognized holidays.

    Advice to Management

Do something about the growing discontentment and elisten to the issues like the above if you want to stay non union.

I have been working at BMW (More than 10 years)

    Pros

If you can get a staff position, the benefits are great. Big IF.

    Cons

Uncomfortable environment to work in. It helps to be very attractive. Youth and beauty seem to be to often valued over actual skill.

If you need to really use the health plan for any serious reason, you become a liability. They're keen on reducing headcount whenever possible.

I have been working at BMW full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great benefits and pay. BMW is a Premium well known name and high profile brand. Job security with increased production and only plant in USA.

    Cons

Not much movement within company. No accountability for individuals. More and more benefits are being reduced or eliminated complitly for example pension is no longer available to new hires. Working longer hours with reduced benefits.

    Advice to Management

Always give positive feed back and lead your team by your own examples. A negative start to every day discourages your teams moral tell them what they do right instead if what they do wrong all the time. Treat them as the adults they are and not preschool children.

I worked at BMW full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You get to drive awesome cars, some people are friendly, get to wash your car at the end of the day for free

    Cons

Very very hard to grow in this company. Most employees are rude, like if they are not happy with their job, long hours, you barely have a life to balance, and repetitive duties. Employees at the bottom of the pyramid are always changing, while in the upper side you find the same people and they don't move from there, no chance to climb up.

    Advice to Management

Get to know most of the team at least by name to feel more respected and not like a horrible pyramid hierarchy in such a medium-sized dealership. Better treat to employees.

    Advice to Management
