I worked at BNP Paribas full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Good environment, full of young people Hire people at the start of their careers, and provide training Good working hours schedule, not common of workers to exceed the mandatory 8 hours

    Cons

Sallary wise, you should start ok (for Lisbon standards), and grow slowly -when I left the base was 1050€ gross sallary per month. Job position wise, you are also mostly stuck, with no major room to grow. But you can move from one team to others.

I have been working at BNP Paribas full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

The SAMS health insurance is the biggest advantage and having BNPP on your CV looks good. However, it is not worth it.

    Cons

1 - Salary: The salaries are terrible and the "raises" are a joke. You get the same raise as everyone else (as well as bonus), even though your evaluation of the year was better. 2 - Management: Your line manager does not care about you and your Team Leader just replies to e-mails all day and barely knows what you are actually doing. Furthermore, you only get promotions if you butter you TL up (e.g. people can ask for...

    Advice to Management

Stop promoting your stupid friends; their quality of work is terrible. You will make the bank waste money and resources and all the good ones will leave you.

I have been working at BNP Paribas full-time for more than 6 years

      Pros

the degree is not needed, medium salary, good health insurance

      Cons

company does not follow the portuguese work law and you cannot complain to human resources (they dont reply); no transparency regrading the salary, bonus, evaluation; terrible facilities (air conditioning never works) and once again nobody to complain because no contacts available; the manager does not allow mobility to any other department; no motivation and no career growth.

      Advice to Management

      try to care about employees
