I worked at BNP Paribas (More than 10 years)

    Pros

My overall experience at BNP Paribas as awesome. They offer great health insurance options, excellent year-end bonus and many other reasons why it's a great working environment

    Cons

Because BNP Paribas is an International Bank, arriving work early was often required to attend meetings, video calls, etc.

    Advice to Management

Keep improving work areas, update MS Office and come up to standard with your competitors.

I have been working at BNP Paribas full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent benefits, global bank, stable work environment

    Cons

Absolutely lacking in systems, lack of process and system standardization across regions leads to huge time dedicated towards reconciling, employee mobility program seems geared towards French nationals; poor performance incentives

    Advice to Management

Focus on system enhancements and process improvement, with an emphasis on consolidation; hire locally - there is no reason to have French nationals occupying all these lower-level positions

I worked at BNP Paribas full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great work-life balance, 28 days vacation, good severance package

    Cons

Below market compensation, terrible management, higher than average bureaucracy. When costs have to come down, cuts workforce in Asia and US first, while excess fat and duplication remains in Paris.
