    Pros

Work life balance is supported by a generous vacation allotment. You are also encouraged to take your days off and be fully disconnected.

    Cons

French bureaucracy that can sometimes lead to things taking longer to get done and sudden changes in ways things are done without being vetted with the locals.

    Advice to Management

    Tech needs to be better.

I worked at BNP Paribas full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits, vacation days, espresso on every floor. You can be yourself and still be accepted whereas other premium companies have a "type" and you have to be fake. Lots of team building events and business trips to Paris! My HR dept was led by an extremely cool
    And HR respectable leader.

    Cons

I have worked for many blue chip financial companies and this one is different. I wish I didn't have to relocate to another state

    Advice to Management

Try to streamline HR processes in France and US. Otherwise, keep up the great management. I am proud to have worked for BNP and hope to someday have the opportunity to do so again.

I worked at BNP Paribas full-time

    Pros

There are some managers who encourage their team to learn as much as they can and move forward.

    Cons

The cultures between departments are like night and day. HR needs to do a better job enforcing policies and not allow managing directors to dictate benefits. If you managing director doesn't like you, he/she will make you miserable by preventing you from transferring out of the team or denying tuition reimbursement benefits.

    Advice to Management

Get to know who's working for you. Understand what they are doing and encourage improvement.
