I have been working at BNP Paribas (More than a year)

    Pros

Good management vision, great benefits and compensation. There are also many opportunities to move internally. Collaborative atmosphere to solve problems in the best way.

    Cons

There is not much to talk about in this section. However, there is room improvement in the technology utilized as much of it is outdated.

I worked at BNP Paribas full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great time off policy, up to 34 days plus holidays. Company likes to reward and promote from within.

    Cons

The culture is to work hard, which often results in longer days. Unfortunately, the expectation is that all work is done in office, so there is minimal work from home

    Advice to Management

Better work from home would help offset the expectation of long work hours, but the extra time off helps.

I have been working at BNP Paribas full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

More vacation days than most banks.
The bank offers above average benefits.
Culturally diverse - generally welcoming to all backgrounds.
    Very good locations.

    Cons

Employees are not invested in much and feel their hard work is unappreciated, resulting in frustration. There is really no incentive for the hard working employees here. Many employees do a lot for the bank; however the bank does not seem to know or acknowledge the value of its employees. Therefore, the bank itself is not valued much. The working environment and is going downhill very fast. Systems are outdated as well which is painful to witness in today's world. Also, the pay is generally below market competition.

    Advice to Management

I would say to provide at least some incentive to give employees a reason to stay.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at BNP Paribas (More than a year)

    Pros

    Working hours not bad.

    Cons

Most employees are very unhappy. Firm tends to lock employees in on Visa's and therefore the promotional structure is non-existent as they know the foreign employees don't have options, this, in turn, bleeds over onto all employees. Very inefficient in all processes and procedures.

    Advice to Management

Management tends to be very fickle in entry and exit of markets which leads to low morale and high turnover.

    Cons

European bank going up against large US banks.
