I have been working at BNP Paribas full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great company benefits. 34 days of vacation in a year. Very well located in NY. Values diversity. Cares about its people. Very good work life balance. Encourages internal mobility.

    Cons

Low compensation compared to industry standards. Very difficult promotion process for Director and Managing Director levels. Need to pass at least 3 interviews internally to be promoted.

I have been working at BNP Paribas full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    5-6 weeks vacation per year
    Very friendly environment
Excellent management - high degree of transparency
Great 401k plan with 5% + up to 4% contribution matching

    Cons

Coworkers typically complain about pay, but considering the relaxed environment and the very generous benefits package, I feel that the compensation package as a whole is very competitive. If you would prefer working 80 hrs/week for 52 weeks a year for maximum pay, then BNP Paribas isn't a good fit for you.

    Advice to Management

The only weakness I can possibly find in this job is that it's in New York City, Chicago, and San Francisco. It would be nice if there was an office in a warmer location with a lower cost of living.
