Grow your skill set. New challenges everyday. Exposure to the global economy and global workforce. Diverse employee fingerprint

    Cons

Lack of employee engagement and hard to retain talent. Horrible employee development program.

    Advice to Management

Listen to SME and create a non-retaliatory environment. Challenge your manager instead of being a habitual yes man.

The individual contributors that work here are generally very good at their jobs

I worked at BNY Mellon as an intern

    Pros

Was a great experience with a really fun atmosphere of employees

    Cons

It seemed that a lot of the departments, at least the one that I shared a floor with don't do very much. It's odd to see one side of the floor having a party while you're hunkered down in crunch time.

I have been working at BNY Mellon full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Massive company with cheap benefits (not that good though).
I have a decent amount of flexibility within my position.
Unfortunately this is all I can come up with.

    Cons

No incentive to give it your all.
    Pay is not competitive.
Large amounts of time and money are spent on corporate propaganda that nobody pays attention to.

    Advice to Management

Stop cutting the current jobs and start doing something to keep and attract real talent. It is not cost effective to constantly be training new people.

I worked at BNY Mellon full-time

    Pros

-BNY Mellon provides a good base for anyone just entering the work-force.
-Provides good benefits and very flexible when it comes to handling personal matters outside of work.
    - definitely offers mobility within the company

    Cons

    -lack incentives
    -not very staff-driven
-compensation/benefits leave a lot to be desired

    Advice to Management

Work on bettering the culture - the staff lacks morale and thats where the lack of productivity stems from.

I have been working at BNY Mellon full-time

    Pros

Mobility, Scale and Scope of Projects, Global Footprint

    Cons

Time to market on delivering employee promises

    Advice to Management

You've improved employee onboarding. Now focus on helping your employees feel like bureaucracy works in their favor, not an eternal roadblock to the growth of salaries. Great place to be for a few years; growth past a few years is stymied by big-business HR policies - fix those if you really want to be a transactional company with tech at its center.
