    Cons

Very very boring literally sit on my phone the whole afternoon and the pay , 11.02 an hour with 7.5 hour days . Comes out to I believe 37 hours each week .

    Advice to Management

Consistent work please , i get here at 8am I do work for about 2-3 hours then the rest of the day until 4:00 I'm literally sitting on my phone on the internet or playing games

I have been working at BNY Mellon full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Excellent vision on the future of the application development and nice colleagues. Four weeks of vacation is added benefit. Very good 401k matching.

    Cons

Considerable difference in Salary and Bonus between NY, NJ, and Boston

    Advice to Management

Need more work on leveling the field.

I have been working at BNY Mellon as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Friendly coworkers, lots of hands-on experience.

    Cons

Little to no training. People are too busy to train new team members. New employees are often blamed for doing things wrong, despite never being taught how to do their jobs correctly. Sometimes unorganized. High stress.

    Advice to Management

Please create a training program for new employees. Try to be more supportive and understanding with people who are still learning and try not to blame them for things they didn't know.

I worked at BNY Mellon full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good work is recognized, providing you work for fair managers.

    Cons

Not up to date with technology. Management prefers to obtain clients before the required resources and infrastructure is in place. May take years to properly scale up staffing and technology.

I have been working at BNY Mellon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The flexibility is nice. The people are nice. Overtime is a thing that exist in the department I'm in which is nice.

    Cons

The pay is lower than every other financial institution in the surrounding area; even though they'll tell you it's not. BNY is a stepping stone company where you learn the basics to go to another company for more money.

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees more and don't be surprised when they jump ship in a year for 15k more doing the same job.

I have been working at BNY Mellon full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very competitive and keeps you on your toes. The people are friendly and management usually looks out for their employees. They pay well and the offices are clean and modern.

    Cons

As a female, good luck getting ahead! This is very much a "boys club" type of bank. Men will get promoted faster and women in leadership/management positions will be seen as "too expensive" or "not good enough" and let go. Even female management will halt promotion efforts of other females. It's a very strange environment.

    Advice to Management

You might want to change your view on women and quit letting go all your women management. It's not a good image.

    Pros

Good name, Nice image. I don't have many good things to say. I couldn't wait to leave. Don't miss it one bit.

    Cons

Low pay, no growth, cold culture. Not a mom friendly company. Aggressive aND male dominated. High turn over, people are nother genuine

    Advice to Management

Look at the people in management. Encourage more volunteer opportunities and social events. Provide more flexibility to moms. Higher pay
