    Pros

There are countless Oppurtunities for Advancement. There is definately Good Work Atmosphere and it is almost enjoyable to go to work every day , Many Friendly People work at the Bank of New York Mellon and it is possible to meet new friends in your coworkers. For entry level jobs, there are a lot of young people working within the company especially due to the ever expanding role that the new company plays in the Corporate Investment marketplace

    Cons

Sadly, there is a Low starting salary for most positions and in the entry level jobs there is high turnover in some areas, High workloads at times however most entry level jobs offer the oppurtunity for a salary and overtime

    Advice to Management

    Appreciate the small people more

    Pros

I really felt there was a strong sense of accomplishment for a job well done.

    Cons

the hours of the daily valuation interfere with living a normal life

    Advice to Management

I think sometimes there needs to be a broader prospective when it comes to how much time in a salaried employee's working life that can be compromised.

    Pros

The managers give excellent praise when you've done a job well done. It is an exciting company to work for and I've fully enjoyed my internship with them.

    Cons

It's an hour commute for me, but that's not really something that is a fault of the companies. I think the only downfall is that they don't give you a paid lunch (at least as an intern).

    Advice to Management

I think that they are doing an excellent job. One of the first banks to repay TARP funds and they performed well under their "stress tests"

    Pros

This was a good opportunity for some one who is still in school and is looking for experience to help get a full time job when graduating

    Cons

There are some boring moments because management doesn't always have work for you to do. This is because you have limited access

    Advice to Management

This is a great program with a great company. I would allow more hands on or the interns so they can learn even more

    Pros

Busy and challenging, without being impossible

    Cons

Busy is still busy... can be exhausting

    Advice to Management

Hire more knowledgeable employees and less contractors. Teaching a contractor who is gone in 6 months is a waste of time.

I have been working at BNY Mellon full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Everyone works together at all levels. A firm you will grow with and build long lasting relationships. Change may not be immediate depending on improvement, but you will know it's forthcoming.

    Cons

Sometimes the work load can get so heavy it difficult for one person to accomplish everything, this can be discouraging

    Advice to Management

Bring in more people in areas where just one person cannot handle the work load
