I have been working at BNY Mellon (More than a year)

    Pros

Work life balance, focus on new smart industry hires, reputation in the field, delivering the performance excellence process across the firm.

    Cons

Fragmented management, slow hiring process, bad medical benefits, compensation is on the low band of the range. Bonuses are lackluster, always go for more in the base, review process is one sided

    Advice to Management

You get what you pay for. The firm seems to operate penny wise pound foolish

I worked at BNY Mellon full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Decent work / life balance.

    Cons

ZERO room for promotion or transfer to other areas.

    Advice to Management

The rank-n-file staff work diligently (and needlessly) on procedures and (software) technology that are well known to be outdated / inefficient. Yet, SVP's / MD's REFUSE to streamline / update the tools they have. Case in point: using spreadsheets to track Enterprise-wide issues and metrics.
